A reservation SHOULD ensure customer of a vehicle at chosen pick-up location. We were penalized and made to drive an hour out of the way, versus 1 mile, to pick-up our rental. Because other customers did not return their rental per their agreement. VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE! I would shop competition to compare this business policy next time. This location rep is awesome though, and very accommodating! Highly recommend this location.

Once I arrived in FL, I contacted UHaul customer service with the intent of informing them they should not allow this vehicle to be rented again without significant repairs. Understandably I was concerned that they had me taking the truck to another contract dealer who could be yet another Larry's. The gentleman I spoke with was professional and seemed sincerely concerned. He noted the issues and forwarded me to Roadside Assistance to possibly change the return location to someplace close to a repair facility. He explained that he was not allowed to change the location but the other shop could. The lady I was sent to was pretty much the opposite of the first rep. Though she was professional, she made me tell her the whole story again and then dismissed my concern and told me to take it where I was assigned and then punted the problem to the drop off location. She told me to tell the story to the Englewood Self Storage (ESS) again and basically make it their problem. She also told me she would contact ESS and tell them I was bringing the truck and that I had concerns. As I pulled up directions to ESS, I saw where they were only open until 3:00. I arrived at 2:50 and the business was closed! By this point I was absolutely livid and called Customer Service. After more than 10 minutes in the queue, a rep came on the line and I told her I was extremely angry and apologized to her in advance of our conversation. I told her I was done and was not leaving with the truck. She handled things very well and immediately took the right position of trying to help me resolve the problem. As we were talking, the owner of ESS pulled up and took over. He couldn't have been any nicer! He spoke with me and was very concerned. He took responsibility and made a good impression for UHaul. He explained it had been a slow day and he had left to go to the bank and wasn't planning on returning, but saw me on camera and returned. I asked him if he had been contacted that I was bringing the truck and he said no one had contacted him. I am planning one or two local moves in the near future and at this point I think I will consider other options because of this overall experience.

The minute I drove into the facility an associate greeted me at my vehicle to check me in. I was in and out in less that 10 minutes.

The website is a nightmare! All the individual attempts to sell insurance, supplies, equipment, labor at each end, storage, etc., is incredibly annoying!! Got through about what I believe was about 90% of making a reservation, the site froze up on me. Both the pick up facility and the drop off facility personnel were polite, curious, and helpful.

Truck rode rough even though it said smooth ride. Had trouble with tire on the traitor. Tire shredded and had to be replaced after a 2hour wait. Got about 5 miles down the road and the same tire started smoking and had to pull off road again. It was split open. Another 2 hour wait. I was supposed to close on a house in Louisville and never made it because a 14 hour drive took me 26 hours.
