Returning the truck was the worst. The app from safari could not pick up the location of the facility and it kept asking me to scan barcode 4. In searched that door for an hour. I called to get help twice because I was afraid they would charge me more for not scanning in the mileage and pictures of the truck. It was cold and late and the parking lot was dimly lit. I wish you all had someone from that facility after hours you could call to get help from. The call center people we’re nice but their not familiar with the building barcode. Then I assumed it was on the lock box were the return keys were but it wasn’t or the facility door. Please have FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS LOCATION FIX THIS.
MIRIAM PWhat could be done to improve customer satisfaction would be to make sure you know what you are doing and DOUBLE CHECK everything before charging a customer more money. I scheduled a uhaul to be picked up at 7:30am and I rented 2 dolly's. I returned the truck with the keys and was told that it would get checked in when he could because he couldn't leave the floor. I was under the impression he would go to the truck check it out and complete the transaction. No, I was charged for a dolly that I didn't even ask for and apparently didn't return. That was $135 out of my account. I was then asked did someone hand you the dolly's or were they in the truck. Well the business did not open until 10 and I picked up at 8:00 (was there at 7:10am couldn't check in and had to be manually checked in over the phone, the lady on the phone even had me unlock the truck to verify 2 dolly's were in the truck- her name was Theresa) so clearly no one handed me a dolly you were closed when I arrived. Long story short I couldn't even enjoy my holiday weekend because they cleared my bank account and in total held $317 of my money. They did reverse the transaction and also gave me $55 back as well so I will be getting $184 in return but now have to wait days before it hits my account. Moral of this post DON'T LEAVE until the check in is Complete!
