Worst U-Haul experience I’ve ever had. I’ve moved a lot in my life and have always used U-Haul. I used the mobile check in process, which was pure madness. I live in Cottage Grove MN and drive 4 hours to Fargo ND on Friday to move my 70 year old mom into a new townhouse. I scheduled to pick up the truck at 8am. It took 30 minutes and several phone calls and chat messages to finally get the vehicle rented. Apparently not only was my drivers license and credit card info enough, it was required for U-Haul to call 2 people at 8am on Saturday morning to verify who I am. The the app required a THIRD person. It was so frustrating sitting in the cold weather trying to rent this truck to which I was told would be a quick process. Then when I called the local store the lady told me there was nothing they could do. Finally a representative on the chat group got me through to renting the truck without calling a 3rd person. I lost almost 45 min of my day, sat in the cold trying to rent this thing. Next time I will use Penske
