Michele HThe phone App didn’t work, and since it was a Saturday, the person who normally deals with U-Haul wasn’t available. The key was in the lock box, but without the App working, we couldn’t get to it. A Waltons Auto employee said others had had problems with the App also, and he gave us a business card for the U-Haul District Manager. We called him on his day off, and he was able to provide the code. App then wanted pictures, but wouldn’t accept them. The rental agreement listed our allowed mileage at 117 miles, and between a slight (less than one half mile) truck friendly detour and stopping for gas along the route, we went over our mileage by 8 tenths of a mile. At a dollar per mile above expected use, U-Haul charged my credit card a separate fee of 86 cents (including a 6 cent rental tax), which probably cost U-Haul more than me. The truck was clean and almost new (5,200 miles on it). There were no problems at the return location Underground Sales, and the person there was a pleasure to deal with.
