Need more pick up trucks. I put in for one because of me pulling a trailer in a tight place and I got put in a 10 ft box truck which took longer to do the job.Nathan R.
The steering on the vehicle needs to be repaired. The vehicle pulled to the left and when the steering wheel was in the neutral position, the wheels were turned to the right.Lorrel M.
On April 3, 2021, I reserved a Uhaul truck for my pending move. During that call, I was told by the Uhaul representative that I was eligible for one-month free on a storage unit. I have also been told this in the past when I rented trucks from Uhaul. Prior to my move on April 26th, I went into the Uhaul store to reserve the storage unit. In addition to what I had previously been told my the Uhaul representative, there were two signs hanging in the store at 520 S. 29th Street, Harrisburg, PA, indicating that customers would get one-month free storage unit with a truck rental (which I previously reserved). I was told by the store representative that he could not honor the free storage unit that I was both told I was eligible for and observed in their own store (which I pointed out to him in the front of the store and took a photo). The representative then called his store manager whom he claimed would pull the call record and listen to see â€œIFâ€ the representative told me I was eligible for a free storage unit, as if one would lie or make this up. He further claimed he was sending an email to his manager and would let me know the outcome. Long story short, as I expected, I never heard back from this representative and they did not honor their own store advertising, nor what the previous representative told me by phone. The young man I spoke to was quite rude and defensive and told me he was â€œjust doing his job,â€ as though I was being difficult by informing him of what I was told by a fellow UHaul employee. To add insult to injury, when I brought the rental truck back I was overcharged $180.15, and now have to file a dispute with my bank to retrieve my own money. I was supposed to be charged $61.35, however was charged for a â€œlostâ€ dolley that was in plain sight in the back of the Uhaul truck. Needless to say, I am very annoyed and disappointed in the service I received having reserved from Uhaul (at other locations and states) multiple times in the past without incident. The only positive that I can say with regard to this experience is that the representative whom I retrieved the truck from on 4.26.21 at 9am, was very polite and professional with me (and other customers from what I observed). They may want to use him to train the other representative with the blonde hair and glasses. With regard to what can be improved, I would suggest not falsely advertising a discount (free month of storage) that you do not intend to honor. It is misleading and not good business.yancy N.
People need more training in courtesy and customer service. Outside check in person rude and not well trained or informed of company rules. Van was dusty and smelled like urine. Always a problem when I rent at this location. I won't rent here again!!BRENDA M.

I was happy with 29th street. I have a UHaul a mile away from my home, (Johnstown, Road in Harrisburg) and they never seem to have the truck I want. This is the 2nd time they referred me to 29th street. It could be because on each occasion I wanted to drop the truck in Detroit and they don't want to handle that, but that's my only complaint.ROBERT G.
Check in was fast and easy. Staff very friendly and courteous. They hooked up my trailer rental quickly and I was on my way in no time. The return was even easier. I was met in the parking lot return area by another friendly staff member who checked the equipment back in and again out of there in a short time. I definitely recommend them.Daniel D.
Wait on the person in line. A young women with a orange hat and headphones was having a normal conversation with her child's father or something related to her kids. Didn't wanna help me. Then someone else came in and he had a question. She answered his question then excused herself to him about her personal phone call. I waited for 3 hours on Sunday to receive a trailer, with them assuring me all the while that they would get me one soon. Not only did they not get me a trailer, they didn't even call me back about my reservation. I figured that they'd probably fix it when I went there, and reschedule me for a trailer tomorrow, but just in case I would make another reservation for Monday. I went in today, and they couldn't give me any sort of discount, despite having wasted my entire day on Sunday and making me wait for 3 hours outside. This was BEYOND infuriating, and as a customer I don't ever want to go back. Just to top it all off, when dropping off my trailer off, close to closing time, an employee started to help me with my trailer return, and then left in the middle of assisting me to leave and go home! They told me to use the U-Haul app, which caused me an additional 20 minutes of trying to go figure out, with 10 minutes on hold with customer service. Very unprofessional, none of the employees were wearing masks, and I don't think I will be using U-Haul againTAYLOR R.
