The service was a little frustrating and there were a lot of irrate customers and the truck had a transmission problem and no a/c
As a first time Uhaul renter i should have gotten familiar with the return procedure. We were exhausted after 2 days of packing and unpacking with 2 dogs, So i made a mistake of dropping the key in the box before reading the odometer, taking pictures to do the proper return on line. I immediately called u-haul to explain the situation because i didnt want to just leave it for the crew in the morning to figure it out, i freaked out so iexplained to the agent on line, she was very gracious and explained what she could do was leave a message on my reservation and told me to call at 7am when Rodolfo the manager would be there to explain and see if he could waive the 27.00 dolars fee for the way i returned the truck. I called at 7am the next day and spoke with a crew member and explained the same thing and he said "you'll be charged the 25 fee" so pleaded with him because of the situationmany of us are because of this pandemic 25/27 dollars does make a difference when you're unemployed . He said you can later and speak with the manager but he's gonna tell you the same thing" He said the manager was runnign late to callback in 10 min and he would let him know. SO called and the manager was not available. I left a voice message. continued calling and then i got a customer service agent. Again i explained to her what happened and she said she would put a message for ROdolfo to call me back, because he was on line taking care of business. She got my information and like every other agent i spoke to she was pleasant attentive and professional. Sometime in between all this my Amex was charged $27.00, but Amex declined. Now i'm more worried because this could cause future rental problems for me in the furture. However i never received one phone call a text or even a voice mail from the store manager. Being in the hospitality business and i'm sure uhaul provides extensive training, im sure he earned that position. Not a single attenpt and if the fee could be waived than fine, but expected the same great service i received up until i had to deal with him. I find it disrespectful, because i made every single attempt left messages with crew in his store, thru the main number. So instead of giving me the oportunity to plea my case he went charged me anyways. Because that is the way it is? I make a payment to my amex tomorrow and if the payment fee is pending or if it is fgoing to cause any issues in the future, i'll pay. I hope u-haul can m still mold this man. "Hire for atitude and train skills" Unfortunately the of skills and respect for the customer is not quite there.
Manager Customer service could improve
Great customer service.
The female associate that helped me was not wearing a mask and when I arrived back at uhaul to return the truck I got there at exactly 7 PM but the same women said she could not help me even though the store was technically still open. She told me to put the keys in the drop box and go to the website, I put the keys in the drop box only to find out on the website that I needed to take photos of the miles and I couldn't get the keys back out.
Brand new van! Just 200 miles on it! Managed to take it for 24 hours and accomplish multiple errands for under 100.00. You can't beat the price and service. Really. The van was big enough to essentially empty a 10x10 storage unit with ease. Gas mileage great!

Don't rent huge trucks with the damage.mine had in it. It was very scary on the drive when the wind would hit it against the truck.
Customer service rep at store wasn't helpful at all. Didn't explain anything, just handed me the keys and done, this wasn't a 24/7 check in. Kept trying to sell me the things I had already declined in my online check in, Which sole purpose was to save time, they made me waste it. I informed the truck had a lot more damage that in the photos and they simply relied â€œjust take photosâ€. Very rude and unprofessional young guys.
