Make sure that each location has blankets and appliance dollys available. Dean didnt have what I needed but gave me a break on the gas and gave me some extra mileage. The Uhaul pickup store on Madison Ave, Mankato was more frustrating because the line moves so slow. 45 mins in line both times we were there.kevin E.
Someone broke off The top of the gas cover and makes it very difficult to open and close. Someone did not have time to fix the outside door handle on the driver's side even though I was told it was broken it was a huge inconvenience. I was also put out by u-haul because I wanted to rent a u-haul in Albert Lea and return it in Albert Lea because I was moving with thin Albert Lea. But I was charged a 120 miles times a $1. 19 a mile so I said I'm not going to do that. The lady on the phone said I didn't have to but if I wanted to move that day. I would have to. I even ordered it before I needed it. Asked for 20' and got 15' 60 miles away. I did not appreciate the treatment I received. I am usually very impressed by u-haul BUT NOT THIS TIME!!!!Nancy S.
I rented a 6x12 enclosed trailer. My only complaint was the heavy tongue weight picking up off the ground to get over my trailer ball. I have a 2002 ford ranger and felt the trailer rode very well behind the truck. These trailers can hold more than people think and in my opinion are a great value.Thomas F.
The truck we rented apparently was not available and we were given a different, smaller truck. Caused us to have to do two trips instead of one. Doubled the price of the rental.Anna R.
Dean and his crew were extremely helpful in a busy, difficult situation and worked very hard to overcome multiple obstacles and get me a rental truck for what I needed. My 90-mile move wouldn't have worked out if it weren't for that, my roommates and I are extremely grateful!Samuel M.

Your pick up and drop off folks were good, especially the drop off. It was your booking that was a horrible mess and I will never use U-Haul again. I will also recommend that my friends and colleagues use other services. Your contracted locations are fine, but your concern for your customers is appalling.Anna D.
The worst experience I would ever say. U-haul has managed to complicate my hectic moving day and make it even more stressful and chaotic. You have managed twice:) Last year, me and my girlfriend waited in line for an hour and half at the Adams Ave U-haul to pick up our u-haul and storage unit in the morning. When it was our turn, the worker told us the system over-booked u-hauls and they don't have our 26' truck or storage unit we reserved. So, obviously we are upset and begin to panic. We spend hours calling other moving services (none available, given time of year and day.) The only available 26' (biggest truck) was in North Minneapolis. So we drive 2 hours to go pick up the U-haul then back to Mankato (4 hours of just driving, no moving things in yet)... we load up our whole house... call our friend's and beg them to put our furniture inside their garage. We found a friend, hour and half away. So me and my girlfriend load up everything drop off all our belongs at a friend's house. We have a place now to store our belongs a week and half until our new lease starts. This year, I was well cautious and aware of what happened last year. This was our last year every moving (congrats to us.) So, U-haul called 3 days or so before, to CONFIRM the truck I rented will be available. The U-haul person said it is but, not at the adams (main location) and it will be at the north Mankato, MN location. I was like okay weird, no problem just a different location. I said to him, "As long at the truck will be there, I don't mind the location. Last year we didn't have a truck and didn't want this to happen again- that wasn't fun" He said, "No worries, it will be there." So guess what, the day we are supposed to move wake up early and go to the location. I had a bad feeling when we were driving. We pull up to Bryan's U-haul/junk yard type of building. Looks a lot more sketch than the other. When we pull up we noticed no U-haul. Waited in line and met Bryan, when i saw his face I knew something was wrong. He said, we don't have your U-haul someone rented it two days ago and hasn't returned it.... So, again panic sets in. We start calling other moving services. Bryan informs us that he knows where the U-haul is, but doesn't have the keys (or something.) He goes a knocks on the lady's door I guess some lights went on and off. They called the police to try to get the U-haul back. Cops came, can't do anything because of the law (or idk.) Anyways, so we go back home. My elderly parents bring down SUVs to try and pack as much as we can fit. I believe three hours or so later, I get a call from Bryan. He had the U-haul towed to his garage place. He needs to clean it and inspect. In those three hours of not having anything to get my things to my new house. I called 1-800-GOUHAUL. I really tried to remain calm and practical (I am Minensota Nice.) But I couldn't honestly and was fuming. I was willing again to drive to New Brighton to pick up an U-haul andAngela T.
Windshield and front of truck were completely covered in bugs. Windshield difficult to see through because of all the dried bugs. The radio / clock was dead, no power. The alignment was horrible.Jacob M.
The place was a dump, as simple as that. The guy may have been nice enough, but there was zero organization, zero parking, and the truck was across the street, a busy one. There we notes all over this guys office essentially threatening customers with poor attitudes, which I guess I can understand because it felt like you might disappear in the clutter.Michael R.

I really appreciated that Dean suggested returning the truck to Mankato for a 2 day rental for approx the same cost as a one way rental which worked out great for me!! Less stress of trying to get unpacking so fast and in the rain! I love it when someone suggests a alternative option that works out better in the long run!Lynell H.

Our pickup time was set for 9am, when we arrived, there was no one there. We called U-Haul, and while the person we worked with was very helpful, he changed our pick up to another location that was also not open! An hour later we ended up back at the original location, and the staff were finally there to get us the key. Not a great start to moving day.Eric F.

The lot (a small car lot with too many cars) was too small to maneuver the rental van. It took me 15 minutes to back and pull forward a few times before I could get into a position to squeeze out of the lot. There has got to be a better place than this.Kent K.
