Personnel in charge were very nice, etc., but took a long time to figure out how to check me in. Office was very spartan, cold for the personnel and not inviting. Company should freshen it up especially in cold winter weather.

The hours for this location did not match what was advertised online. We had a 7:00 am appointment to pick up our truck but when we arrived there was a sign indicating that the hours were changed and they didnâ€™t open until 9:00. It would have been nice to get a call to not come until 9:00.

First, online it says the place opens at 7am, the door at the place says 8am, and the gal didn't arrive until practically 9am. She took forever getting ready; counting money, troubles logging into her computer while a long line of people waiting. Finally got to me to get my truck and she said they only had one 20' truck. Well, not my problem; I made a reservation. She double-checked and there were two on the lot. Finally got my key, found the truck, didn't have a furniture dolly, went in to tell her, she told me that I could take one by the dumpster, and then we were able to leave. Very poor performance overall.

The truck I got had bags of leaves left in the back. The gas gauge was 1/4 of a tank less than indicated. When I told the employee she said "I'm not surprised" and told me to just fill it to where it is now and say it was 1/4 higher when I checked out. (Even though no one would be there for check out.) I asked if she could fix it in the computer to make sure I wouldn't get charged for it and she marked it on my original paperwork with a highlighter instead. I told her the tank was lower than where she marked and she was welcome to check. She said something to herself about, "what on earth were they doing," and marked my original paperwork again with the highlighter. After asking her several times to check and change it in the paperwork she finally went back to the computer to fix it. She also told me the key would not fit in the box when I returned the truck, so I should just put the key under the seat and lock it. I couldn't use the app to check out since my phone wouldn't connect to "share my location". I called and they said it would be fine, just lock the key in the truck and the staff would check it in the following morning. The next day the staff called me and my fiance several times to ask where we put the key because it wasn't in the box. This was the worst service.

This is the seventh year I have used this U-Haul location to rent a truck to move set pieces for my daughter's fall ballet. As always, everything went smoothly with no problems. I found a few small items in the back of the truck such as a screw and connectors that looked as though they had come off furniture, but it was clean (no dirt).

Weird layout for pickup of rentals- I wasnâ€™t expecting to have to leave my car outside of the gate and walk back through the entire storage unit area to get to the truck. The truck I had smelled of smoke. At first it seemed like cigarettes, so I drove with the windows down for a bit. After that smell had cleared, I went in to purchase things and came out and the truck no longer smelled of cigarettes, but smelled like weed. The passenger I picked up commented on the weed smell immediately after getting in the vehicle.

They reserved me the wrong truck so then I went there to pick it up the truck I wanted wasn't there so then I had to get a bigger truck and pay more bad customer service I should not have had to pay more since it was their fault

The truck itself smelled very strong of marijuana and the trailer would not work once it was hooked to the truck. The brake light fuse was blown in the truck and the brakes on the trailer would lock once hooked up to the truck. Discussed with location personal and the pending charges were refunded. This was on 10/27-10/28. Now on 11/11 I was charged $103 for that same rental without my consent or knowledge. On 11/12 I was again charged $143 for the same rental without consent or acknowledgment. When I called the first day the Customer Service Rep, Katie, was very kind, apologized for the confusion and refunded the $103. On the second day the Customer Service Rep, Karen, was not as kind. She transferred me mid explanation to someone else. Now there is a complaint filed with Corporate and I had to get a whole new card from my bank.

I did the online pre check-in. Which really didn't seem to make the process any quicker. I gave all my credit card information online. I still had to stand in line, re-verify everything. Still swipe my card and sign. I was told I was all set, so I picked up the trailer and left... only to be 10 min down the road and was told I had to come back to have a picture taken of the hook-up, so I had to turn around, back track and have a picture taken. Employees were very friendly, but the needed process seemed disorganized. I had a busy day planned and was hoping to stop in, pick-up trailer and go. Took about 30+min to pick-up trailer.

We specifically chose this location as the website had both the truck and appliance dolly available and our reservation was confirmed as such (15ft truck with appliance doly) as we were moving only appliances. when I picked up the truck I was told they didn't carry the appliance dollys - If that was the case I should not have been able to reserve it while making my reservation also The truck i had was fine with the exception that the dash lights didnâ€™t not work so it was difficult to drive after the sun went down due to not being able to see the gauges The staff was courteous however our move was very difficult as we did not have what we needed. Disappointed

Warning - Read the reservation documents! You are not guaranteed are trailer at the location you select! My trailer pickup location was moved to a uhaul center 50 miles away the day before my pickup. Then this location had no road worthy trailers available! Thankfully the Maplewood location had something. So Maplewood gets 4 stars. Uhaul's booking system gets 1 star.

I had rented out a uhaul which was great and all with the manager. I had came back to return it and also to get a storage unit. An employee (not manager) there lacked customer service because he was focused on counting the coins to put in the register for 5 min, eating a snack and then he later assisted. My issue is that I had already explained to that rep that I have ordered a storage unit online and was charged as he was entering the same information that I had did online and he basically said to deal with it by reaching out to customer service for Uhaul for a refund. After speaking to Uhaul customer service now I have to speak back to the same location who did not understand my inquiry. I am waiting for the manager to contact me back asap to look into how I have 2 storage units when I had previously explained I only needed one. I am very dissatisfied with the experience overall.
