This Ford truck performed OK but the two things I did not like were: It was impossible to see the speedometer during daylight with or without sunglasses. The dash lights were extremely dim with headlights on or off and there is no way to adjust the dash lights brightness. The rear view mirrors are basically frozen in place . This make backing up very very difficult.James G.
I rented a pick up for two days but I had to return the vehicle one hour later because i had to change plan on using the vehicle to a later day I was charged 28$ and some change for 1hour.it 2 days later I haven't gotten 296$ back yet I payed the 28$ in cash and was assured I would get my 296$ back immediately didn't happen I am done with u haul.very pissedJONATHAN C.

I called uhaul 1800 # and was told I'd have a truck at this location a week in advance. Well the day before the 1800 customer server called saying I'd have to pick up at the Philadelphia area which was 45 mins there and back out of the way to where I was heading. I called the actual store and spoke to Mike and he spent his morning shopping the uhaul store for me. No luck. I called Penske's and was told that if I made a reservation I would be guaranteed a truck to haul my stuff. Well the DAY of moving Penske's called at 6am saying the Meridian location is closed and I'd have to get the truck from Brandon which is 1Â½ hr there and 1Â½ hr back. I was PISSED! I was told with penske that they'd give me the mileage for the inconvenience, but smh... how about free. That's gas, that's time, and that's stress! He told me he'd call me at 7am. He didn't. So I called Mike back moving day and ask. Mike in Meridian said he didn't have anything. My heart and patience was sunken. But Mike made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He suggested I get one of his vehicles but bring it back to his location the next morning before his next pick up instead of doing one way. He offered and gambled on me to keep my word and that he'd have 2 satisfied customers... myself and whoever his 9am was (who depended on him to have the truck). Well he got 2 satisfied customers... if I may speak for the other. I had to come back to Meridian anyway so I worked out perfectly and we are safely moved and it was all because Mike gamble on trusting me! Thank you Mike. You truly blessed me this weekend!Tacara T.

I was a first time customer of renting a UHAL. I am not happy with UHAL because I had to keep it a couple extra days. When I called to extend it another day, they charged me and I thought I was paying for that days rental. Come to find out it was not. They did not tell me when I called to extend it that the money I paid was an extra fee for extending the rental. So when I turned it in my bill was 87.00, so when I extended it two extra days I paid 50.00. So I was charged 87.00 for 3 days plus the 50.00. Total was 138.00. I was not told when I ask for another day. The person I talked to did not explain that it was not going towards my bill. I thought the money was paying for that days rental , but no it wasn't. They need to explain things better. I only went a total of 20 miles. So if you do react from UHAL, make sure they explain that asking for extension, is extra and you will still be charged for that days rental on top of what they charge you for extending it. I understand what they are saying but I was not explained that. This was my first and last time I ever use UHAL. They said there was not anything they could do. I will never use them again. I will tell everyone I know how UHAL acted. This was one of the worst experiences I ever had. I think they are cheating people by not explaining about the extra fee for extending the days. So make sure you know all that when you go to rent one. I hope you have a better experience than I did. As for me and my money, I will never use them ever again.. This was my first and last time ever using them. Just make sure that they explain it to you. If I would have known that the extra fee was not paying that days rental, I would have taken it back the next day. They say it's a extra fee because that knocks out someone else from renting it. They say they are losing money if you extend your rental so they have to charge you extra because of that. I myself believes ,that is cheating people out of money. They need to explain up front that. If you extend it , that there will be an extra fee on top of the days rental. They charged me a fee of 23.25 25 for the first day and 27.64 for the second day then my total bill was 87. something when I turned it end. So never extend it if you don't want to be charged an extra fee. I will never recommend them to anyone. They said all they could do for me since. I was not happy, (because I wasn't told it was an extra fee) was a 20.00 VIP to use in there store. When I talked to customer service he said that he would not do that if I was not gonna. Use them again he would keep it. I have another complaint I called the local number and you don't get that store you get an answering service. I want to talk to the local store not an answering service. May who ever reads this, has a Blessed day.tasha W.

Ordered smaller truck but happened to stop by location day ahead to learn they had me picking up smaller truck 30 mins away as they did not carry trucks smaller than 20'. Mgr transferred reservation and offered to give me 20' truck for same price.Kimberly W.
