Uhauls should come with full tanks because it is easier to just fill it up to bring back rather than trying to guess what is needed for 1/4 tank.
Overcharged for rental by a day and only rented for 1 day.
The owner/operator at Wanamaker Shine was most helpful. I was very happy with the service I received at this location. Have used UHaul on numerous occasions & this has been my best experience to date.
I am not complaining about the cleanliness of the truck however the drink holder area could have used a cleaning and there was a ding in the windshield that I didnt notice until I left with the truck. It was raining and We were just given the truck without a walk around or contract indicating mileage to start or any pre existing damage. I was just afraid we would get charged for the less than clean interior or the windshield ding without a walk around check list to indicate it was there prior. I will say , this did not happen when I returned the truck but it was a cause for some anxiety. I was also nervous about dropping the truck without handing it off to a real person however I was pleased with the online process which allowed me to submit pictures of mileage, gas gauge and general condition. It was reassuring.

I was sent to this location for pick up. The agent could not access any information on my reservation. There seems to be something wrong with the online process the agents are trying to access. In the past couple of months, the 2 times I have rented, it has been a nightmare, However when I myself called the toll free phone number, that I received when asked if I could pick up the unit at this location, I had no trouble and the contract was done on phone and emailed to me. Why are the agents having so much trouble doing the same or even being able to get in touch with some one from Uhall for assistance?

The location was supposed to be open until 5pm. when I got there at 4:40, it was locked. I had to start making calls and then the person arrived, but he initially could not find my reservation and was obviously not pleased with my arrival while he was not there. the unit was clean and operated well. When I received my invoice, they had overcharged me. I called customer service to get this fixed, but waited for 12 minutes on hold without being able to connect with a person. I had previously sent an e-mail 4 days earlier without any response. I just sent another e-mail this morning and then this survey. The product was good, but the service was bad.
Owner extremely rude. Used profane language and was hostile in general. Was charged cleaning fee even though the trailer was returned in original condition. I was not contacted prior the cleaning charge and this was done without my knowledge or consent 24 hour AFTER the return of the trailer. This is fraud.
I was for some reason unaware of the charge per kilometer so we ended up spending much more than we had anticipated.
I was extremely dissatisfied and upset about our U-Haul experience. 1. Friday night we picked up the truck at 7pm it took well over an hour to get the back door open. We called Wanamaker all he said was to just beat the back of the door with a hammer as it is frozen. We hired movers for the night which caused delays. 2. The next morning Saturday the truck would not start-we needed to be out of our house by 12pm (noon) I called Wanamaker and he said he would get here as soon as he can to get us going. 2 hours later I called him back and he said to call roadside assistance. Why couldn't he have said this in the first place instead of me waiting 2 hours I was spoken with rudeness by Wanamaker.(this also cause a major delay in moving. (we were given a 24hr extension due to this. 3. Sunday morning AGAIN the truck would not start. After speaking with roadside assistance again they advised someone would show in 1 hour and a half. This experience overall was by far the worse I've ever had with a moving company. Our family did not need any of this. I hope this survey does not go un-noticed as someone needs to hear about this. I will be calling customer service's toll-free number
I am VERY upset that $60 of gas was charged to my Visa. We had the truck at 1/2 tank of gas in Hampton and drove approximately 5-7 kms to the drop off point...there is no way we used $60 worth of gas. I feel like I was ripped off
