I had scheduled my truck rental to be picked up at 8:30am at the 13th Street location and without any communication or approval from me my pick up time was moved to 3pm and the location was changed. The staff at the both locations were generally unhelpful, and unfriendly at both locations. I was given the phone number of the 13th Street Locations manager, who i left a message for and DID NOT call me back, I was also charged an additional 100 $and I don't know why. The truck's exterior had damage, the engine ran rough and the drivers side window (which was a crank window) wouldn't close the whole way and rattled the entire time I was driving it, This is not my first poor experience and I will not use Uhaul ever again.MARY K.

The check out/check in process was pretty awful. I understand the concept of doing it all virtually but the fact that there is staff at this location made the entire experience unseemly. Why should I take a picture of the vehicle parked outside the return garage, why should I take pictures and verify milage when there is staff there to help out. Rather the staff can only direct me to use my phone. I understand the concept of calling contacts, but that was poorly executed, I have an excellent credit rating, staff is present, any requirements could have been met without asking to call my employer or someone else to see if you can harass them if I don't return the equipment.Mario M.

Very poor service. I rented a truck to bring my daughter's stuff back home after she completed college. I was supposed to rent from Newark DE and drive to NJ and return the truck there. I had made a reservation a week earlier. The day before I was supposed to rent U-Haul cancelled the reservation and I called them and they said I could pick up from Philadelphia, do the pick up of stuff from Newark, DE and drive to NJ. The agent on the phone said I would have 160 miles, which would cover all the driving. This mileage amount was recorded on the reservation, I had made. When I went to rent from Philadelphia location, the agent gave me only about 100 miles, which would not cover all the driving. When I pointed to her the error. The agent said she did not know how to correct it and I should call 1-800-Go-Uhaul. When I called 1-800-Go-Uhaul, the agent there said I should call the manager of the Philadelphia location. When I called the manager of the Philadelphia location, she said she could not do it. In general, I found U-Haul agents had a difficult time using the computer system. Also had to wait 15-20 minutes each time for the agent to pick up the phone.RAKESH K.
Location was accessible and the pick up system fine. The car was tidy and in decent condition except the emergency brake unlock was nearly broken off. What I did not appreciate is that I ordered a queen mattress bag online and this wasn't even acknowledged until I brought it up myself. I was told there was no bags. I was asked if I wanted a refund (well, yes? If you don't have what I paid for why would I not want a fund?). I got a refund but I was not pleased that I couldn't get a bag and not pleased that I wasn't offered a bag of a different size complimentarily. I was told that the other bag would cost me 3x moreMing C.
Provide the reserved equipment at the requested location. I wasn't able to get what I wanted and had to travel to a location that was very far from where I requested to pickup. The customer service was rude and dismissive.Dustin S.
The staff at this location are wonderful - extremely helpful. We had help backing a truck into the loading dock, which was extremely helpful, and when we had an issue with the truck when we finished unloading a member of the returns crew handled it for us. The truck itself wasn't in the best shape - the sun visor was only half attached so kept swinging down over the windshield, and when we parked the truck we weren't able to disengage the emergency brake. Despite these issues I appreciate the excellent customer service, location, and convenience.AMY SCHUYLER H.
I came to pick up the van around 6:20 for a 6:30 reservation. The van had an alert about the tire pressure. I took it over to where they directed me and the air hose was not working. I then had to drive it back to the other lot, get a different van. They were getting ready to close and didn't notice that the van keys they gave me had another van parked in front of it. I would have been stuck without the van if I hadn't run in when I did to have them move it. They also didn't give me any instructions on where to return the van after hours and didn't send me a new condition report link for the new van. As a result of all of this, I didn't leave the UHaul lot until 7:15, nearly an hour after I arrived. I had hired movers who were waiting for me at my apartment, and this delayed my move. I understand it was the end of the day and everyone wanted to leave but it just should not have been this difficult to get a van. I also had ordered small boxes to pick up at the same time, and they sold them to someone else right before I came - they then refunded me and charged me for medium boxes (since I still needed boxes). It seems I should have gotten the medium without extra charge. Not the worst, it just added to my time and inconvenience on top of everything else.ELIZABETH C.
