The employee checking me in did not have a mask. We were outside so that was better
The original location did not have my truck, they never called to let me know they had no truck available. I use public transportation so I wasted 1 1/2 hours of traveling just to back track to another location. Very disappointed at first but the 2nd place really helped my out
The customer service was excellent
I drove the truck less than 20 miles. Immediately prior to returning it I topped of the fuel at the gas station directly across the street from your location (it cost less than $5). Upon returning the truck, the employee informed me that my fuel level was "a little short, my man"...I explained to him that I had just filled it all the way across the street and also offered him the receipt timestamped from 3 minutes ago - nonetheless, he claimed there was nothing that he could do and, as such, I was charged approximately $7 for this "infraction". I can't help but wonder, was this experience unique to this truck/ employee/ location? Or are your trucks intentionally metered in order to reap "bad profits" from one-time customers? I have spent probably close to $2,000 with your company in the last month, I am not worried about the $7, I am worried about the principle of the thing. I own a small business that stores 3 commercial trucks, 4 trailers and also rents a 10x20 storage unit for all 12 months of the year. That $7 for "gas" will be the last $7 I ever spend with you. I am not complaining in order to try to win concessions from you, I am simply informing you - if it were my business I would certainly want to know.
Have more equipment options at various locations so customers do not have to travel far to rent specific equipment.
I'd like to inform you that the associate that assisted me during pick up and drop off is a great asset to your company.Â I'm not real sure of his name but on the receipt it states Michael Mason. He is very attentive to his customers. Extremely knowledgeable. Gave me 100% confidence in renting from U haul.Â I've rented from U haul in the past and every time it's been a great experience.Â When picking up my equipment there was 4 employees working, even though the other 3 didn't assist me they were all still very friendly. Thank you for employing top notch associates.
I got placed on hold for 15mins roughly to just be told I have to call and ask the original uhaul where I made the reservation if I could return the truck closer to my new home. This was 23 miles out of the way when I had one 2 miles from my house. Completely a waste of time.
Deliver what had been contracted to rent on the date agreed to.

I have no idea why the heck this location is even listed because I do not need to return my uhaul until October 8th in The Outer Banks, North Carolina
Have the truck AVAILABLE. I reserved a truck a week in advance and had friends lined up to help with the move. Showed up Saturday morning as scheduled and NO TRUCK. I had to wait until Sunday morning to get the truck I reserved, which very nearly wrecked my move. Luckily I have awesome friends, but I could have very easily been screwed. As it was, it made the move much more stressful and hurried than it needed to be. Why bother taking reservations if you can't guarantee the truck will be there as reserved? This is terrible customer service.
Do not send out vehicles with crappy tires. Have more service personnel so don't have to wait forever.
I returned the truck at the time I was supposed to and they charged me for extra days on my receipt. Very deceptive .

Pickup was complicated and the staff member who helped me was so rude to me. She seemed to be motivated to find any excuse to stop helping me and turn me away. There were a few bumps in the road to getting my truck ready for me, but instead of working to investigate those problems and fulfill my reservation, she used every tiny problem as a reason to give up and send me away. When I arrived, I was looking for the contactless key pickup locker. I couldn't find it. A staff member - the one I'm upset about - found me and asked what I needed. She literally just said "what do you need?" As if I'm causing a problem or being somewhere I shouldn't be. I said I'm looking for the key pickup locker. She says I'll have to check in online and come into the office. I said ok, I checked myself in online, she disappeared. I go to the office door to let myself inside and the door is locked. I knock on it. She suddenly appears behind me and hollers at me really sarcastic "UM! THE OFFICE IS CLOSED!??" I said, "Okay, you said I needed to go inside to get my key. Can you get my key?" She rolls her eyes and scoffs. "What's your purchase number?" I say, "I don't have a purchase number, but I have a reservation number, a driver's license number, and a phone number. Can you look me up with one of those?" She barks "whats your name!" I tell her. She doesn't even respond or acknowledge the information, she just stays face buried in her phone for a minute. She says, "Your reservation can't be filled." And starts walking away. I say, "wait, what do you mean? I didn't get any email or call about this, I have a valid reservation." She says, "You can't pick up a truck because your driver's license doesn't match." And starts walking away from me again. I say, "well hold on a second, what do you mean by that, you haven't even looked at my drivers license yet." She scoffs again and turns around and barks "Well is THIS really you!!?" and shows me a photo on her phone. It's the wrong picture, clearly not me, not even the same state, so the driver's license number obviously can't possibly match. I said, "no that's not me." And she says, "then you can't have a truck." And she starts walking away again. I said, "look, I have a reservation number, I have 3 emails from u-haul, I know I'm in the right place. Can you try a *little bit* harder to look into this please?" She rolls her eyes and scoffs, doesn't answer me, and goes back to looking at her phone. She's quiet for a minute and then says "check your email." I completed a new form that was emailed to me, photographed my license again, and submitted it. I tell her I'm done, and she doesn't acknowledge me again, just stays silent, face buried in the phone screen. She turns and walks away from me. I'm thinking, "what the hell? Am I supposed to follow her or is she telling me to eff off?" I decide to follow her. She goes through the garage, around a corner, and through the employee entrance. I waited in the front of the (yes, still locked) lobby area. She returns with keys (so they clearly weren't inside the contactless pickup key locker as I requested and the email confirmed) and tells me to take 2 giant packs of blankets. She doesn't offer to help me, so I have to do it myself in two trips. I ask her if there's anything else I need to do before I leave, anything I need to sign. She says "no." AFTER I get home to start loading the truck, I realize I have a new email telling me to photograph my truck and note damage before leaving the parking lot. Geez! Would have been nice if she told me to do that before leaving when I asked! Overall, I'm extremely disappointed in the abusive way I was treated yesterday and the employee's childish lack of effort. I don't think I'll ever use the 24th McDowell equipment rental again as long as that lady is there. I would like to have some explanation about the way I was treated and I would like to see a gesture of goodwill to patch this up. I need to know that U-Haul takes customer satisfaction seriously. I need to know that you don't endorse this employee's behavior. A discount refunded to my card on file would be acceptable. I'll let you decide how much is appropriate.
Th staff is very competent and was able to take care of everything even with power and computer outage.
