I HAD MADE A RESERVATION FOR 10A.M. ON SUNDAY AUGUST 19, 2018 I MADE THIS ON AUGUST 9, 2018. WHEN I ARRIVED AY CHURCHLAND MOVERS I SAW THE TRUCK THAT WAS PROVIDED BY ME THEN AS I AM FILING OUT THE REQUIRMENT LIKE IT TOLD ME TO ONLINE I SAW PEOPLE GETINTO THE TRUCK AND LEAVE. I WENT INSIDE TO ASK THE LADY BEHIND THE COUNTER WHATS GOING ON AND SHE SAY THAT SHE DID NOT SEE A RESERVATION EVEN THOUGH I HAD THE ORDER NUMBER AND ALL. I WAS TOLD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE WHERE THEY TOLD HER THAT I DID HAVE A RESERVATION, THE LADY BEHIND THE COUNTER TOLD HER THAT SHE DIDNT HAVE ANY TRUCKS EVEN IF I DID HAVE A RESERVATION THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP THEN SENDS ME 15MINUTES OUT MY WAY TO PICK UP A TRUCK AND I WAS CHARGED AND ADDTIONAL 29.95 FOR GAS THAT I FEEL WAS UNNECCARY BEING THAT IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN AT THE ORIGINIAL STORE THAT I MADE I WOULD HAVE NOT USED AS MUCH GAS BEING THT I WAS MOVING FROM LESS THEN A MILE FROM THE STORE AS WELL AS MOVING RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. THIS WS BY FAR MY WORST EXPERINCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH THIS COMPANY

The truck given to me was terrible. Siunded like the rear axle was abiut to go. Si bad I called and spoke with Patrice at custtomer service because the office would not answer the phone. The key was also getting stuck in the ignition. Hopefully that truck is repaired or removed from your fleet for safety reasons. No one should have to pay for a vehicle in that condition. I've rented from U-Haul several times. Never had this happen.

The trailer that was giving to me had a bent hitch and I didn't know about it until I got to Richmond when I loaded up my vehicle. The straps on the trailer also looked like they had been dragged behind the trailer and it was damn near impossible to strap the van down. I went to the UHaul in Colonial Heights, VA and was told that they could not put me in another trailer because it was a local rental. Bonnie, at Colonial Heights location did all she could to try to get me in another trailer but was unable to. She herself had to change the hitch and the straps so I could get down the road. This process took over 2.5 hours and threw off my schedule for the whole day getting back to VA Beach to drop the van off. Bonnie was EXCELLENT. She did all that she could do the help me out but I should have never been given defaulted equipment. My contract number is 24644072. I can be reached at 571-405-7309 if anyone wants to contact me.

I have used them before and liked them but this time when I checked in the lady was good she gave great customer service but the truck had a very rough ride and when we brought it back the guy Edward was rude we walked in and he was helping a person so we was waiting then he asked up are you returning and we said yes then he told us we don't have to wait or if we want a receipt we can and we said we would wait then he told me to take the keys back to the truck they need to stay in the truck so I asked are u going out to look at the truck ill give them to you and he said I may but you need to put them back so my husband just took them back then in a few mins when he's done with the other person he gets up and goes out to the truck them comes back and says A lady is checking the truck out for one of us to go out side with her and the other stay for the bill we was like we will just wait as we are waiting he gets his cell phone and is doing something on his phone he was not very nice

The airline Blvd location was fine. However, the overall experience was terrible and I will have a hard time using U-Haul again. We ordered a 15’ truck from churchland Blvd location in Suffolk for 8:00 am two weeks in advance. We got there about 7:50 but the girl who was supposed to open the store at 8 didn’t get there until about 8:07. When she did, she came in laughing about it. Then, when we tried to get our order, which was placed TWO weeks in advance, she couldn’t find it even after looking us up by order number. She then had to call her store owner, who told us to call an 800 number. She said we must’ve reserved it but the orders were over booked and our truck must’ve been somewhere else. She said she didn’t have anymore trucks at their location to rent. By the time this all happened, it was about 8:15. We had movers coming at 9:00. I’m not sure why this churchland Blvd location couldn’t call someone for us but that wasn’t even offered. We were asked to stand outside and call while she helped other customers. It took about 12 more minutes to connect with someone at this 800 number. So now it’s 8:30. By this time, we had already called another U-Haul location, which was about 20 minutes away from us and reserved another truck. Our movers were there at 9 and we didn’t get back home until 9:20. Not only were we late, we then had to pay more money in gas for our U-Haul, as well as pay more mileage. It started off our moving day very terribly and like I said, I will have a hard time returning as a customer because very little was done to help us.

May have been to early, but the explanation for drop off was labled as an overnight drop off. I was told they did not have overnight drop off!

As a prior U-Haul employee I was impressed with the ease and level of customer service provided from making a local reservation and picking up my trailer rental on-time as requested and being dispatched without delay. Great automated system.

Every one was very helpful on explaining what I needed to know right down to what gas I needed to use. This is my second summer using a u-haul from the same place.

When I checked out the vehicle, my credit card was charged for 185 and some change. When I came back, it was charged AGAIN for another 158.00. I know the 185 will drop off in a few days but that puts a burden on the renter. Basically for 4 days or so, you have over $300.00 dollars held for a 158.00 charge. That can really be a burden for some people. There must be a better way to handle this. I would rather see you run the 185 and then issue a credit for the difference than to hold the 185.00 hostage for several days while charging the actual amount due.
