The back of the u-haul was full of debris. It was sticky, had dirt/sawdust like particles everywhere, and also had glass fragments/shards all in the back. The rubber mat that was covered in all of this also had holes/tears, so made moving overall extremely difficult. Every piece of furniture had to be more carefully maneuvered to not snag on the mat, but also to not drag against the tiny glass spots. Also, we did not receive our dolly. When we had arrived to pick up our rental, the employee dismissed us and said it was all on the app. We Did choose the self help online option, but that was with the assumption that our U-haul would be clean and have the appropriate tools we paid for the use of. The employee was out the door right before closing time so we had no way of getting help over any of this. We had scheduled our pickup days/weeks in advance, leaving an abundance of time for this to have been accomplished. Overall, we are severely disappointed. It made moving so much more difficult, and so halfway through we just gave up. We had reserved the U-Haul for 24 hours, but due to how unclean it was and the lack of tools, we returned it after 10 hours. We will rent a U-haul elsewhere, as this was an absolutely awful experience.

Jim WI had a very bad interaction with the manager of AAA Storage where they are able to rent U-Haul vehicles. Due to my bad experience, I reached out to Christopher Minnich of U-Haul and he immediately tackled the situation with professionalism and made things right for me even though UHaul itself was not responsible for what happened that day. U-Haul always takes care of my family and I and when I had the issue, Christopher Minnich went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Thank you guys!
