Had to wait 15-20 minutes to get a clerk... might add staff on busy Saturday mornings.

15foot truck had 99k miles on it, when loaded it had had extremely hard time making it up normal highway inclines. U-Haul's equipment return app SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED! I have a Galaxy S10+ and the app would not let me upload the photo of the dashboard. Customers need to be clearly and consistently advised that if they are unable to utilize the app to just leave the keys in the key box. I called store manager, and have yet to hear back from him. I called the help line, was transferred, andbsst on hold at the U-Haul facility for over 30 minutes because I had no idea I could just drop off the keys. Finally got in touch with president who explained I could just drop off key. This was not a pleasant experience.

Electronics for payment didn't work. I complained about a tire in poor condition, the clerk said "well if it blows, call roadside assistance" HELLO, I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR BREAKDOWNS! Clerk forgot to load the appliance cart,

Would be nice if you had a line for people that have all the paper work filled out on line. We often wait for an hour for people that need to fill out all the paper work. I now get to the location at 6:30 AM and stand at the door so I'm first. Takes me 5-10 minutes and I'm gone. Takes longer to hook up the trailer than checking in.

This was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. The staff was unfriendly, unorganized, using swear words, had poor attitudes and messed up our rental orders.

I was charged for things I had no idea I was going to be charged for. Extra day and mileage. The explanation for them was poor. I was never shown anything to explain them either. I do not agree with either charge. I had the truck 1 day!

My husband and I moved across the country from Florida to Minnesota, which was a long journey to say the least. Not only was the staff at the Rochester, MN location helpful, they also went above and beyond to assist us and give us great advice to help our moving experience. We were having some issues turning the large trailer around in their drop off lot at one point, and the staff eagerly helped us and spot checked, even offering to move some vehicles to help us get out! I have a long career in customer service based management and I have never experienced such loyal and caring staff than in this location, I am truly impressed and will definitely be using uhaul in the future as we continue to move in the future. If I could give these guys above an excellent rating I would in a heartbeat!

I’m not sure if I would recommend this location. The pickup was very slow—just two people working. They were polite, but couldn’t keep up. Credit card readers were not working. They had to enter the info manually. He took a picture of my license on what he said was his personal cell phone. He said he would upload it to your system later. The return was worse. A man was waiting by the propane tank for help and I was standing by my truck, as instructed. After a long time in the sun, an employee suggested we come inside, but he wasn’t able to check me in. He tried to fill the propane tank, but couldn’t do that, either. This left one woman to check in the man ahead of me, go out and check his mileage, rearrange the trucks, and solve the propane problem. Then the same for me. Again, card readers were not working. I requested an appliance dolly in my online reservation and got only the regular dolly strapped in 15' truck. I mentioned it again at desk and they said it would be in the truck. It wasn't. There is a difference in dollies, and it make my move more challenging than it needed to be.

One of the employees, Demonee (spelling) was so incredibly helpful and has been helpful every time I've been to this location. Each time he has taken extra time to help me with something. He is incredibly friendly and warm and has excellent customer service skills. I will continue to use this location because of his service.

So.. On a cross country trip and wheel bearing went out. Obviously not maintained as when tow truck came it was rusted thru and no repairable. Had to go out of way to get a new trailer. Cost us 4 hours of time. Not a good experience with uhaul. I do have to say however that the people on the phone are very nice.,

Wait time was long. The employee who helped me did not use the haul mobile device to scan my drivers license - instead they used their person cellphone and complained that the store's mobile device is slow. I am NOT comfortable with someone taking a photo of my license on their personal device.

I had requested a 17’ and the person who helped me get the truck said all they had was a 15’ very nonchalantly as if he has no solution to offer or explanation. I figured it would work out anyway, however I did have to make a couple trips due to not everything fitting. I went back and explained my situation and the person who helped me there was very helpful, very little hesitation and didn’t charge me an extra day. Went from 3-5 stars with that one interaction. Thanks for the help with the truck and taking care of customers issues! P.S. it wouldn’t hurt to clean the bugs off the windshield before renting the truck, although I get it, it’s summertime. Also the truck seemed like it needed a steering alignment, pulled very hard to the right.

The app sucks. Reservation via phone doesnt help and doesnt work. Had to do it through email and browser. Pictures didn't match up. Dolly was not ready at pick up.

I booked the truck over 30 days in advance and then I had to drive 50 miles to pick it up at a different location. Then they charged me more money for gas even though it was less than half at the start and when I was done.

Long line and understaffed, slightly rude-- probably because they seemed very overwhelmed. While in line to pick up the vehicle I received a phone call from UHaul to tell me my truck wasn't available until 5PM. My reservation was noon. The person on the phone argued I did not have a "confirmed" reservation but I had made it weeks prior and of course, had a reservation. After waiting in line and then being shuffled from one desk to wait on the side-- twice-- someone finally explained the truck we were taking had not come back yet. The employee called me when the truck came in so we could come back again-- waiting in line again-- and finally get the vehicle. I plan to try to rent from other locations in Rochester in the future. We rent several times a year and it is usually a hassle with pick up. We have done the self-serve pick up in the past and it is slow and cumbersome so I did not choose it this time.

For the App, have the customer pre-load verification info. It is VERY inconvenient to have to stand outside the truck in a busy UHaul lot and type-in info I could have pre-entered or pre-approved before arriving.
