I was charged $5 for the “safe move” and I did not choose this option, it was automatically applied to my reservation and the employee who checked me in was unable to take it off. I would like to be reimbursed this fee plus tax.

The rental component of the process is flawless! Rates and charts are clear. The folks there are quick and efficient. The line can be a bit long, but that’s simply because they’re busy. The van was outside, clearly marked and ready. Very clean! The return/check-in component is as painful as it can possibly be! The parking lot is a full as a closet with falling skis, tennis rackets, 100 piece open puzzle boxes... just bad. It wasn’t only this time. I’ve visited on several occasions with the same results. The check-in is desolate and with no clear signs. The self check-in is on a website with no clarity. After many clicks I discovered the site is forcing the user to register and to be physically at the site. What about a second driver situation? How about those that don’t have e-mail accounts or smart phones that text? What if the user just does not wish to register with “one more service?” My driver left the van and I hoped for the best, the next morning. I even called to make sure a recording took place to help mitigate a liability scenario. Not too good! Back to basics would be a wonderful option. An ATM type self check-in machine on the side of the building with the rental number and a special pin on the contract or something. That’s just one thought. How about a simple barcode swipe system with the barcode on the keychain or on the contract? The key gets inserted into a trap door and the barcode is scanned. The key is secured, the mileage is recorded by the user on a keypad and the contract is closed. Easy! There are many options. .....oh, and please reorganize that parking lot! Painted lines on the lot and small signs on poles in concrete filled paint gallons go a long way! Call me for more ideas. (301)996-4281.

The vehicle cab had a heavy presence of mosquitoes. Opening the windows helped, but they were still prevalent upon returning the van. My rental experience was not a pleasant one and the equipment presented a health hazard.

There are day laborers that are there for work. They constantly ask you if you need help moving. It is a nuisance every time I go there. Also the parking lot in the front of the building is very dangerous to g t in and out of because of how it is striped. Maybe look at ways to re-stripe the parking lot.

The people who work here are always very helpful with check-in and check-out and the after-hours check-in works efficiently as well. They were particularly good this time in helping me switch trucks to find one with a hitch that doesn't stick out too much so I could get up my driveway without issues. I rented two trucks this week. One truck I have no complaints about, but the other one smelled of urine in the cabin area so they could probably check that before letting another customer use the vehicle again. (I'll note that I've rented dozens of trucks from U-Haul and this is the first bad smell experience I've had so it's pretty rare in my experience.) One other point, I was told on the phone that I could switch trucks without additional charge if I realized a truck would not work for me and returned it within 30 minutes. But when I came to return a 15' truck for a 10' I was still charged at the 15' base rate so communicating that to me upfront would have been appreciated (or better yet, when switching trucks, only charging me for whatever truck I actually use would be ideal, but it seems that is not currently possible in their system).

Trucks tire light was on, and the dashboard sad service maintenance, so I could not see the mileage. Slow check in this time, difficulties with figuring out which truck they were going to give me, And printing up information

Car carrier had one tire at 20psi. Should be 60psi. Brake resivoir was inaccessible. On return I was shown the sight glass that indicated low or empty. Staff was exceptionally helpful.

The guy at check in was great and very knowledgeable. Michael who was the outdoor customer service guy was very professional and right on it. Briock the manager runs a great operation. Just the fact that I know their names reflects the great service they provide. Kudos to them all!

Even though I returned by Rentel a day before, and the office was closed. I was charged full price for the flowing day. I called to speak with the clerk at Randolph /Parklawn location at 8:00am the next day, she still charged me full price .
