Staff was very polite and helpful.
I've never had problems with renting from this location. No one has ever been rude or inconsiderate. I've never had to wait in a long line. The trucks or materials I want are always there and conveniently accessable. If there was ever an issue, which is rare, it was fixed right away. Customer service has always been good. My experience with the employees at the U-haul on Parklawn is that they give good advice about what you need and what you don't need. They don't try to "sell" you on unnecessary things. If anything, I feel that that try to make the process as easy for the customer as possible. I can't think of anything I would suggest for improvement. They seem to have an ongoing improvement program already. It gets better everytime I go there. There's no customer parking but I would rather have their large selection of rental vehicles than a place to park my car. It's only a 20 minute walk from my house so I don't have to drive there. I've been renting from them for at least 20 years.

I was initially skeptical about reserving at this location because of several negative reviews online. However, I had a smooth experience. Reserving the rental was quick and easy. Return was also straightforward. I had a pleasant experience.

Vehicle was fine. Service was fine. But I wouldn't go back only due to the parking situation. Despite a lot of room there, they don't permit any customer parking. Instead they ask you to park at the shopping center across six lanes of traffic (which has signs up warning about long-term parking) and then walk back. It was a big hassle and wasted 20 minutes of my time.
I have used Uhaul from this Parklawn location for thirty years. It is a very professional operation. The staff competent and friendly. Please to use this business. Thanks!
Allow people to park at the location. The front parking lot was completely empty, so renters should be able to park there for the duration of the rental period.
There is no parking so we had to pay to have someone take us to pick up the truck and to drive us home after we dropped it off. The truck we rented had a headlight out. We asked that it be fixed -- not sure why it wasn't already taken care of before we went to pick up the truck -- but the manager said he didn't have a bulb available. It made night driving extremely difficult.
There's no place to park. Think about that. I want to rent a van, but most of the time I have to drive there to do it. Where do I park? For that reason, I can't recommend this location. However, the employee who I asked for help when I couldn't find the van I'd been assigned, was friendly and helpful. He helped me quickly find another van.

I had tried to use the phone wizard to pick up the truck so I could do everything hands free. The back of the site was very busy, and when it came time to get the keys I had to go inside. In order to do that, I had to walk around the entire building to go to the front. Then, once inside, I followed the directions on the wizard on my phone to skip the line and pick up the keys. Once I got to the stand, the employee there said that we had to wait in the general line. There was another customer who was in the exact same boat as me. The line took maybe 10 minutes to get through and was eating into the rental time. With all of this, the wizard lost its place and I no longer knew what to do next, so when I go to the employee to pick up the keys, all I could give was my name and reservation number. They ended up giving me another truck in the lot since my original one was booked, which was fine. Dropping off the truck was confusing to know if I needed to return it to the front or the back of the site, so I chose the front and then had to drive it around to the back. Nobody was around to check it in, so the intercom person said I could just leave the keys in the car because they were short staffed. This left me feeling anxious that someone was going to take the van and drive it around and rack up mileage and use up the fuel. Luckily nobody didn't, but until I got my itemized receipt I was stressed. Overall, it was not a great experience and I will be going with a moving company for my next move.
I got to the front desk and told the gentleman I was directed to call a number and was on hold. He insisted that he could help so I hung up. Needless to say he then tells me to call the number back after I was on hold already for 45 minutes. Called back was on hold 20 minutes. Resolved issue then had to get back in line to pick up my reservation.
I reserved furniture dollies and they were not provided since they â€œran out.â€ That's the point of a reservation. I had to buy two furniture dollies from uhaul for $40, when they should have been rented to me for $14. The staff was unsympathetic to the situation.
Have employees show the customer the truck and go over the truck with them.
So easy to reserve on line. Information about the rental was sent proactively by email. I went into counter on day of reservation and the associate was knowledge able and efficient. Great customer experience overall
Don't change a thing: equipment was available as promised and drop off was a breeze. I wish all service/rental businesses were as easy to work with.
The directions on the app were not at all contactless. I had to have contact with three people during this supposed â€œcontactlessâ€ visit. Not to mention the people I had contact with were so rude and not helpful. I did not feel comfortable. Would never recommend this location.
