Front cabin of vehicle had MULTIPLE USED OPEN HEROIN needles in between the driver and passenger seat on the floor and it made me feel disgusting to be inside the vehicle cab. I also prepaid for 6 blankets and those were never provided or remembered by staff before I left the rental location.

I walked in six weeks before I needed the truck and reserved a truck for a Sunday morning pickup. The agent behind the desk said I could pick up at 7:00am Sunday morning. The Saturday night before I was going to pick up the truck, I walked in again and spoke with a different agent. I said I was confirming the pickup for the next morning at 7am. He said "yeah, at 9." I replied "Wait, that's 7, right?" and he said "yeah." As I walked out the door, I though that was not a very firm confirmation, but I trusted both agents. Sunday morning, I showed up at 7am to find that Uhaul does not open until 9am on Sundays. Why was I not informed of this? I wasted two hours that morning, and it threw my entire day off. I will not be renting from Uhaul ever again. The only person who was any help at all at this location was Lexus, who helped my check my truck out (finally) at 9am.

Clean the van so I can see through the window. Removing the last renter's lunch might help as well. A working radio wouldn't hurt. Oh, and a summary receipt of all charges would be great if you could throw that in with the heap of other emails I've received

Staff did not explain after-hours drop off well. The guy said that, after I drop the truck off, remember to check the truck in on the phone through my uhaul account. He DID NOT explain that I'd need to take a photo of the dashboard as part of this process. I dropped the keys off, then went to check the truck in (which is the order in which he described the drop-off), only to discover that I couldn't complete the check in because I couldn't take the photo. The guy DID explain that it would be an extra $20 fee if I didn't check the truck in by phone. But... no problem, right? I'll just sort it out with a Uhaul staff member. I called a Uhaul call center that night, and they said there's nothing they could do except add a note to my contract. I'd have to take it up with the rental location. I went to the store when they opened, and the guy behind the counter basically said "tough luck" because the truck was already checked in and charged the $20 "convenience fee". I called the Uhaul call center again afterwards, and they said only the store could override that fee. They just chose not to. The rental was for 24 hrs. I picked it up at around 5:30 PM yesterday. If I had dropped the truck off this morning, they still would have had to do the SAME drop-off inspection, but I wouldn't have been charged $20. How does that make sense? I have been a loyal Uhaul customer for over a decade, renting trucks and storage units. After this, I don't think I'll be using Uhaul again.

Next time the location gets changed — a surprise to me, the customer — I could use a little less attitude. You said you didn’t change it, but it wasn’t me, and there’s only two sides of this transaction.
