uhaul has incorrect business name on file the village market has closed its doors and the uhual services have been picked up by pennzoil was very unhappy having to waste so much time trying to locate actually drop off

The customer service was excellent. I had some issues with the uhaul app both picking up & dropping off, but the gentleman at the location (didnt catch his name) was extremely helpful and courteous. Well done to him!

Worst experience ever. The trailer was broke, screwed up my car. Ended up strained in Illinois, they were no help. Was on the phone with them for 5 hours getting the run around. Ended up having to get a hotel and paying for someone to drive almost 300 mile to rescue My kids, my animals, myself and my husband. I am in the process of talking to a laywer. Never had issue with Uhaul before and never going to again. Will be taking my business to Budget or anywhere else but them.

the price i got online did not match what I was told by the person at the uhaul store in south haven. His was more expensive. when your receipt came it was cheaper than his. The quote online has to be more specific and alot closer to what the attendant is going to tell me. If I hadnt needed it that day, I would have walked out, and you would have lost a customer even though the price was actually better. Seriously the attendant has to quote the same price that you are quoting me. he actually told me the difference was because I did it online during the week, which makes 0 sense since I still reserved it for the weekend day. I was of the understanding the price was 19.95 plus .79 per mile. when I got there it all of the sudden became 79 dollars with 100 free miles. that is a big difference. Everybody needs to be on the same page. They did take care of me in a very timely fashion however. thank you. John Pearl

The employee at the oil change where I had to rent the truck was rude. I tried calling to rent and he told me he was too busy working by himself to talk to me and to call back. I went online and rented the truck, only to be treated the same way when picking it up. He said that was his second business and I had to wait until he finished the customer waiting for an oil change. We were both there before 9 and before the employee arrived. He said he agsin was working by himself and oli changes came first. But I had an appointment to pick up the truck at 9. Then a second car pulled up for the oil change. If there had been ANY other way to get a truck that day I would have walked out. Then I got charged mileage for the truck afyer dropping it off and there had been no mention of paying per mile when I rented it. Not happy and would never go back. Not for a truck, an oil change, or gas.

Have more help at this location. When the employee is doing an oil change you have to wait. Also if there is only one employee , they cannot leave the building to go out and hook up the equipment or unhook the equipment. The only employee there can only do so much. Also asked about a veteran discount and did not have one, but I have gotten a veteran discount in the past. What is uhauls policy for veteran discounts.

I tried to arrange rental of a car transport trailer by phone. The rental agent was difficult to communicate with on the phone and was not able to tell me the details I would need to provide in an online reservation. At his suggestion, I made the reservation on my computer when I got home and the rest of the process from pick up through equipment return went OK.

I was getting an oil change and asked about a u haul trailer. I was told, " you would be better off just getting the truck, it's $19.99 per day plus $14 for coverage and $.99 per mile" So I went with the 10 ft truck #6639. The way it was presented, it seemed like the damage policy was not optional. Approaches dishonesty if not at least misrepresentation. When I brought it back the truck on the 26th, the oil change place was closed and weren't reopening until Tuesday the 28th. I put the key in the drop box with my contract and a note. It did not have any windshield damage when I brought it back. I asked my sons who were helping me all day if they say a crack in the windshield. They did not see any damage either. When the store processed my contract they charged me $25 for cleaning out the truck that was filthy when I picked it up. They also submitted a claim to my damage policy without even asking me about it. The truck was sitting in a parking lot adjacent to the car wash and oil change, next to the car vacuums, not in a fenced in area. I drove from Ann Arbor after work to South Haven on Tuesday evening and the truck was not even in the lot anymore for me to see the damage. This is borderline insurance fraud, tell someone the damage policy is required and then submitting a damage claim on a policy you didn't pay for and not even allow the customer to see the damage you are referring to? I called to speak with Dave and he had a comeback for every point I made. He directed me to follow up with U haul's website. Telling me he has pictures of the truck before I rented it and it was clean. He had to come and remove blankets and debris from the back before I took it because I told him it was kind of messy. I asked him if he had a picture of the windshield before I rented it but he said he didn't. As if there was no other way the damage could have occurred in an open lot over 36 hour period of time. I will not be returning to village express for anything in the future. Nor will my wife or anyone in my family. Not for gas, not a car wash, not an oil change, not a doughnut, not a coffee, and certainly not a u haul. Dave was disgruntled because the Murks added the u haul business to his responsibilities without giving him any extra compensation for doing it. If he is so unhappy, he should just find another job and stop complaining to customers. I feel these practices are unethical. To submit a claim to an insurance policy you didn't pay for and then not include the customer in the process or even let them see the damage they are being held responsible for. Customer service is given a lot of lip service but not often actually delivered. U haul had best be careful if this is your way of operating. You will loose business and you already have.

One employee main focus was oil changes first! When he finished all oil changes he would get to us. To add salt to the wound he would also do any additional oil changes that wound and did continue to arrive! No management!

Murk's Market is serving Uhaul very well. Support from Uhaul can be improved. It wasn't obvious that the time you give Uhaul is a hard time for pick-up. We arrived late, combining errands and found the reservation cancelled. We received no texts or calls from Uhaul asking if we were keeping the reservation. Uhaul texted me for everything else...this is a simple customer service issue that soured me. Thankfully, the agent re-entered everything that had been entered before to create a new reservation. Again, Uhaul could have saved me breathing fire on an agent by a text or call prior to canceling the first reservation.
