Very disappointed in U Haul, in general but would absolutely never use this franchisee again. First UHaul: when I reserved truck I was told by pre-loading the information the pick up process would be faster. it wasn't. Also, I was informed by local rep that the truck would be at the designated location with the dozen blankets and refrigerator hand truck. When I arrived at this location the vendor complained that UHaul knew he had no trucks, gave me a number to call and walked away. Calling the UHaul service # at 0800 on Sunday, gave me the opportunity to speak to a cranky rep, who never acknowledged my problem but told me that if I wanted the truck I would need to get to the other side of SI. Arriving at this franchise did not make my morning any better. The gentleman was annoyed I was there, complained I didn't reserve initially at his location, and had no idea how to use the UHaul computer program. After 25 min of frustration and multiple times repeating information that was pre-loaded to "save time and make the pick up faster and more efficient" i was informed there were no blankets. The truck I was assigned had a filthy cab and I was told to take it or leave it. GREAT SERVICE UHAULThomas C.
The inside of the van was very dirty, it even stank. I had to clean and try my best disinfect the area myself because it was filthy. They should not be allowed to rent the to different people unless they properly follow COVID protocols by sanitizing the inside of the vehicles before renting it to their customers.William M.
