I arrived at 8:30am for my rental pickup, but it wasn’t ready until 9:30am. The Uhaul attendant wasn’t at the location yet, and once he arrived, the keys to the Uhaul were locked inside the building. A second Uhaul attendant had to come to open the doors for us to even get our keys. Very disappointed and affected our whole day’s schedule.

Ricardo RI am extremely disappointed and outraged by my experience with this U-Haul location. On October 16, 2026, I rented a cargo van and returned it to 320 Queen Street East at approximately 8:13 PM. I have a time-stamped photograph documenting my presence at the designated return location. I want to make this absolutely clear: I DID NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO THIS VEHICLE. I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING, AND NO ONE HIT ME. I drove the vehicle carefully and responsibly throughout the rental. To my complete shock, I received a damage report claiming that at exactly 6:00 PM, I supposedly drove into something, scraping the roof and denting the front bumper. At 6:00 PM, I was at 121 St. Patrick Street, Toronto, where the building’s garage accommodates moving trucks. If moving trucks can enter that garage, how exactly am I being accused of damaging the roof of a cargo van there? What evidence supports this allegation? I did not collide with a wall, ceiling, garage entrance, another vehicle, or any other object. There was absolutely no accident. Despite this, U-Haul issued a damage report with an estimated repair cost of $847.95 and charged me $250 for alleged damages that I strongly dispute. Even more concerning, their records indicate that the vehicle was returned at 11:14 PM, although I was physically at the designated return location at 8:13 PM, as documented by my photograph. I am demanding an explanation and documented evidence supporting these allegations, including the vehicle’s pre-rental and post-rental inspection photographs, the original damage records, and evidence establishing when and how the alleged damage occurred. I refuse to accept financial responsibility for damage I did not cause. Customers deserve transparency, fairness, and accountability. I expect U-Haul to investigate this matter immediately, reverse the disputed charge, and provide a written explanation. This experience has been unacceptable, and I am extremely disappointed by the way this situation has been handled.
