The location was great, and Zen ( the lady who helped us) was excellent and I would highly recommend her. She was very kind and and corrected a mix up where we were given a cargo van instead of a 20 foot truck. The truck however had terrible fuel mileage, and the paper that told us how much gas to put in when we had reached a certain amount. I would recommend the service but the truck was extremely costly in the end because of the way that it was burning through fuel. This however was not zen’s fault at all. It’s just how the truck was.

Trailer smelled like dead fish. Didn't have blankets in stock--a mover with lots of trucks in the lot (not busy) with no blankets? Checked in online but had no record of it--that was a waste of time.

This was not the location I was suppose to pick up at but was made to go here to do my pick up which cost me and hour and a half extra of my day to do..

I was unimpressed with the lack of communication and inflexibility. I originally booked the 15' truck at Pembina for 4 hours, only to be told it wasn't available. I was told I could get a 10' truck at the Waverley location for 8 hours at no extra cost. When my boyfriend went to pick it up, he was told he could only have it until 2pm. When he explained what had been arranged, they basically said they had no record of that conversation. So we gad to rush to get a smaller truck loaded and back in 4 hours, which was impossible, so of course we were late. We were charged an extra $17 when we should have been compensated for the promise that was not fulfilled.

Vehicles should be washed and inside cleaned between rentals. Lots of mud from previous renter(s) stuck in the wheel wells, which was falling off as it dried and worked loose over the bumps along the way. I had to sweep out my garage and driveway a couple times due to the mud that kept falling off the truck. Interior was dusty.

The trailer came of the hitch when I left the pick up location> I came back the next day and was told that it was impossible for the trailer to come off and there was no replacement available.I had my mechanic look at it and he adjusted the hitch so it worked properly. This cost me an extra day in a hotel and late at my destination in North Vancouver. The owner was the one who hooked the trailer. There customer service was non exsistence, they miss quoted the price in the beginning and where extremely rude and uncooperative. U haul should definatly review the credibility and training of this dealer.

Make sure the customer is aware of the short cable on the trailer. My plugin is at the bumper of the truck making an extension needed. This set me back 30 min as I had to wire the trailer with wiring the gas station attendant gave me.Also no tools U Haul should make sure they have crimping tools and proper electrical tape no clear packing tape. In a normal shop this would have cost approx $50.00 to rewire I dont see this as being the renters responsibility to do. Not overly impressed with the way U Haul operates. .

Guy a the Esso tried to say the truck had to be fixed and he had no vehicle I could use. Ended up call the 204-987-9510 lady on the other line was help full and said she could get me a truck that could be used till noon. As they had another booking for it. So went back in the Esso and Mr Sharma ended up giving me the keys to the same truck he told me was broken. Over all I had a horrible experience. The only saving Grace was the lady on the phone that was able to help me out. If you'd like to know more please feel free to contact me 204-295-5163. Rodney

The only negative thing was that the cargo van had a bit of a bad smell, but other than that it was a good vehicle and the service was above average.

The sales person I dealt with was very good and she made the rental process go very well. The rental vehicle was perfect for what I needed at a very reasonable price and the vehicle itself was in nice condition except for the interior which was very dusty and could have been cleaned prior to renting it out. The lot is very small so space to park and manoeuver is not great.

Our unit was not at the location where it was supposed to be. When I picked it up at the second location the clerk could not complete the computer rental document. She had phone someone who I had to repeat all the information again to complete the registration.
