I dated U-Haul at Tidwell & 45 poor because while my items were stored at that facility for two years, I was unable to check on my items all this time. When I did go there I was men rolling shopping (grocery) carts away from the facility and I became frightened and quickly drove off. When I did return that when I found out that there had been a thirty at the place. No one called me about it, I found d out when I saw the damage in the unit I was renting. My health was so bad I didn't think about anything but my health. I had a stroke in 2019 and in 2020 I had to have a pacemaker repair. It was time for a pacemaker change and I had complications and was hospitalized for weeks. Finally I was able to get my items in January of 2021 on the 1st. That's when I found out that my unit did have the lock I put on it but another one. Found out one of the workers didn't come to work that day so I had to call a locksmith and pay him $130.00 to get the lock off. After we finally got out that evening I was disgusted and tired (I was reimbursed for the locksmith in a few days but the manager told me I would get it back the same day. But I was charged for February and when asked why I was asked "did you you him to close your unit out. That's not my job! Thanks for everything! Please Donegal there.Joyce S. | Overall Experience

My only complain about the storage facility is that there was a lot of rats. In my storage room I always found lots of rat droppings. One time I also found a dead rat decomposed in my unit. It did not make sense how they did not smell it. I don't know how long the rat had been dead as I rarely went to the storage. The storage needs to have a good pest control treatment because what ever they are using is not working. I know employees did there best in keeping it clean because of the several times I went I saw them mopping the isles and cleaning. As far as the customer service I can say great things about the employees. They were very helpful and friendly. Always looking forward to help when I needed help.griselda m. | Overall Experience

I had rat feces all over my stuff. I had to throw away alot of things that had rat urine and rat feces on it. Also there were roaches and I couldn't understand that or the rats. Not happy at all and if I need storage again I will take my business elsewhere.vakisha a. | Overall Experience

HORRIBLE! The place need to be demolished! What’s suppose to be “climate controlled” is just as hot outside! The storage facility is full of rats and ain’t no telling wut else! I don’t recommend NOBODY store their things there. There were dead rats all on my furniture spotted as I was moving out.Danadra H. | Overall Experience
I'm deeply concerned about the condition of the building, it's infested with rodents and my belongings were covered in feces and urine. We entered the unit without gloves or masks, since there are none to be found in the stores. My expensive and fairly recently purchased mattress and box springs will have to be professionally cleaned, along with wood furniture that was heavily soiled and infested with rodents (no longer present but in my last visit to the facility in mid-February, a dead rodent was present in the unit). Since I'm on my own, unemployed and will continue to be unemployed for the next several months due to coronavirus, I was unable at that time to get my belongings moved until this past Saturday, April 4. While doing so, my son and daughter-in-law were also putting themselves at risk of illness by handling the heavily soiled contents. I had to dispose of bedding, clothing, and other personal belongings that were either too heavily soiled or that had been chewed by rodents. To add insult to injury, Uhaul charged me for TWO RENTALS for the truck I rented to move my belongings. I picked up the vehicle on Saturday morning believing I had a full day (24 hour) rental, only to learn when I brought the vehicle back that same afternoon, I was charged for two rental periods. I would like Uhaul to reimburse me for the cost of having my belongings properly cleaned, and reconsider charging me for two rentals for the truck. It's outrageous! Something should be done about the condition of the storage building. It should probably be condemned and I've strongly considered contacting the health department to report the building as unsanitary and overrun by potentially disease-carrying rodents! Your name is on the building and YOU are responsible for this, I will not waste my time discussing this with the property manager and/or staff. I've already spent a great deal of time attempting to clean my belongings well enough to go into a new CLEAN, TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED AND LARGER UNIT FOR A LOWER MONTHLY RATE!!! This place is an absolute dump. The staff are lazy and do nothing but sit in the office. The horrible excuse of a person, that calls himself the " manager " could not be worse at the job. This place is not secure an the employees are suspect. The unit I rented was mysteriously burglarized and all my belongings stolen. I was told it was my fault that I didn't have insurance. They said they could not monitor what happens at the facility. Then why do you have signing posted stating that your facility is secure and there is a video security system for customers protection? Here's a thought, maybe if the employees walked around the facility and paid attention to who was going in and out they would notice who was kicking through the wall in one unit and climbing through then kicking open the door and stealing property that people pay to have stored inside a " Locked, secured, monitored, " facility.
