It would be extremely beneficial to customers (and likely make things easier on the staff) if there were clear instruction about the steps involved in the return/storage set up processes available to the customer before arriving at the facility. The lack of direction made things more complicated than they had to be.

Staff are rude and not helpful at all. They were working incredibly slowly and would pull their cell phones out to text in the middle of "assisting" a customer, even when they had a huge line of people waiting. The truck cargo area was also covered in oil and we had to be incredibly careful to avoid getting oil on our furniture while moving. Would not recommend this location.

Slow service. Stood in line for 30 min. Uhaul should make an app to make the pickup process easier and streamlined. Back of truck smelt like weed. It was obviously one of the workers. Got charged 15 dollars in gas for driving 3 Miles.

I am dissatisfied with my rental. I have been blind sided by charges (nearly 25% more than the estimated cost) for no reason explained to me. An extra charge that was not disclosed has increased my bill significantly and I want an explanation. Just because your vehicle is faulty does not permit you to charge me more. I’m now curious how many other customers you’ve wrongly charged because of problems with YOUR vehicle.

Uhaul on Mass Ave saved my move!! Bob Corbeil and James Desmond worked tirelessly to get the lights on my trailer working. Without their help my move across the country would have been delayed. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Uhaul on Mass Ave to anyone.

I returned my Uhaul after the location closed. I was told to park it in the return lane, lock the doors, put the key in the drop box, and then log onto uhaul.com and select "Return My Truck". I was never told that I had to take a picture of the mileage and was therefore unable to complete the drop-off via the web service as I had already locked the door and put the keys in the drop box. In the future I would recommend that customers be told that they need a picture of the mileage if dropping off after hours or have a separate piece of paper with instructions as to how to complete the drop-off on a mobile device.

I have not rented from UHaul at other locations so I can't compare. But compared with renting a car I find: the rental procedure is slow. I filled out all of the information on-line before hand but I had to stand in line along with everyone else and wait since they hadn't filled out the on-line forms. It took two waits: one to get the trailer, then I had wait again to finish. Return was not clear at all. I took the trailer out at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The office didn't open until 9 Sunday morning. There were no instructions on late/early return. There were instructions about returning keys but I had a trailer. No instructions about leaving the contract. We spent about an hour on the phone (mostly waiting for a customer service agent) Saturday night, between 9 and 10, to report that it was returned. The agent asked if we had opened an account, that was how we were supposed to return it. I normally avoid opening accounts for a single transaction. None of the instructions said I had to open an account. The agent registered that the trailer had been returned. The next morning I called to verify; the agent had no record that I had returned the trailer. We went back to the rental (Massachusetts Ave, Roxbury (Boston) in order to finalize the return. That is too much work to return a trailer. Clearer instructions should be available. It can't be all that rare that someone wants to return a trailer after office hours.

This location desperately needs to repaint and replace signage. I accidentally drove into the exit lane entering the place because the painted sign on the ground was so worn down that I didn't see there was even a sign until I was literally on top of it. The employee in the lot then yelled at me for entering the wrong gate. But how was I supposed to know if they're signs are illegible???

I only wish that because I reserved online my wait time at the location would be quicker. Instead of walking in and picking up a key I had to wait in a large line and reserving ahead of time online seemed just as convenient as reserving on the spot.

I deal with this location ALL the time. Mainly because of demographics & Location & the convenience of having had storage there 4 almost 10 yrs until Very recent. This Rental from Friday -Saturday the trucks front section wasn’t the cleanest, “especially” the compartments 4 personal items (yuck !). I was also charged a late fee or extra amount after calling 3 times & speaking 2 3 different reps on being stuck in traffic that appeared 2 be an “accident” on the expressway (totally out of my control) My sure WHAT ? happened ? I was charged an Extra $35 when the $82 was my worse case “scenario” if I went “over” 30 miles.
