The man in charge of rentals is extremely "impatient" and borderline rude. He has done this so often that he has little patience to explain the process, refuses to "assist" (after years of experience, he does know what is required), he talks over you and basically wants to hustle you through the process. Kensington is a VERY popular location but they do not have enough help to answer the phones or complete the paperwork. Nor is there workspace to do so at the desk. He puts customers on "hold" and then never gets back to them, saying they will call back - this is because they are so busy.. and they are, but the customer service is abominable, particularly if you are present to observe and be the recipient of such flippant remarks. It's very frustrating just to get him to speak directly to you. The young man that works at this location is absolutely wonderful and deserves a raise - he goes above and beyond to work with you and show you the vehicle and assist (and he is VERY busy too) but he is POLITE. Sadly, I've had to use this location on two different jobs and will have to again, but I was SUPREMLY frustrated that I could have booked a mover for the amount that I ended up paying just for the rental. That was very upsetting. Also, the odometer is set to miles, not to KM as is the speedometer. I'll use UHAUL, but only as a very last resort now. Shame.

The owner was beyond rude to my sister, nephew and myself. He tried to argue with me about my furniture and made me feel stupid about the size of the truck I wanted. No one can ever pay me enough money to return to this location ever.

Maybe it is depend to the staff who handled the rental, but the one who did ours getting and dropping off are good,,,...even the price is honest no hidden fees or scam. the one at Midlake we remember, he report that we rented the truck for 2 days so we got overcharge, when we only use the truck for 8 hours. we were surpise with the total. but this one is accurate and the one in blackfoot as well and meridian Road. Do not go to the one in Midlake.

Do not rent your equipment from here. Very poor customer service. Two lazy and very slow workers took me over an hour to pick my already reserved trailer up. Do not come here.

Everything was good. One comment: I booked online till 9PM, but eventually it was booked till 6PM, so we had to call in and ask after - nothing major - everything worked well, just I guess an online system bug. Im using UHAUL and this location both for work and home - great service and fast!

Truck was dirty and had damage. They said “your ok the inchurance will cover that” Yha inchurance doesn’t cover a dirty truck or the deductible you have to pay for the damage. They never even inspected the truck. That was the only saving grace I had. Read the fine print and never sign it because they say you have to!!!

The location of the U-Haul pick up was great. The biggest issue is with the online system. It changed the location and equipment we were renting. This was a big issue! Thankfully you have amazing staff. Alice at Southern Alberta Traffic Control and Gary in Kensington are great. I can see this system is hard on them. Please revise your online system, it is hurting your brand and business.

Side mirror on the van was not adjustable and fixed facing upwards. This is very unsafe! When I pointed this out on return of the van, the employee seemed totally disinterested an I doubt this will be fixed.

I rented a dolly when I made the booking but when I showed up, they had given them all away. I was moving a fridge - was it not for a friend who lived close by who had one I could borrow, I would have been screwed

I was moving my daughter to a new apartment and booked in advance for a dolly as we were two women. When I got there was told there wasn’t one and they gave it away!!!! We had to move boxes one at a time and they were very heavy! I think the definition of reserving seems to be lost on them!

We were charged for an extra day despite our reservation text saying to return it on September 4th at 4:45pm. We returned the vehicle at 4:27pm. The personnel was incredibly rude about the process and didn’t even want to have a conversation about the UHaul reservation miscommunication. We are frustrated with the ending experience.

Great location, but needs some lessons in CS. Hours of operation, I was told until 6:00 so we moved as fast as we could to get the truck back and even though the worker was present with closing duties would not close my bill.

(This comment/review is not related to this particular pickup location but to U-Haul in general). I have used Uhaul twice in the last month and both times, the truck pick up locations and drop off locations that I selected online were changed to ~45 minutes away (each location). Why offer choices (that appear available) if you ultimately have no choice in what you receive? By the time you receive your confirmation it is too difficult to change and/or select a preferable location (that again you won’t be guaranteed to receive) resulting in hours of wasted time and gas in driving. With the most recent experience, a representative called and left a message to say that my drop off location (but not the pickup location) had been changed from what I selected. Nobody picked up the phone when I tried to return the call to organize a more convenient drop off location. Furthermore the pickup location hadn’t been changed on my “profile”, so we didn’t realize we were at the wrong pickup location until we arrived. By the time we got to the new location (across the city), we were an hour late so our order was cancelled (even though I had just talked to a representative on the phone at the original pickup location). We then had to start a whole new order from the middle of nowhere, and had to drive all the way across the city again for another truck (we were on a time crunch for moving so this was stressful). My “U-Haul profile/account” was never updated and we weren’t given an official drop-off location, and had to call to get that figured out the following day. Everyone we spoke to on the phone was friendly, but the online ordering system is completely dysfunctional.

I booked for 24 hrs, he told me to return it early because he has a customer coming before my return time. I kindly asked him why don’t i get 24 hours, he told me to leave the store.
