Only one of the two employees was wearing a face covering. I did mobile check in so I didn't have to go inside. It's the worst part of the pandemic and I think it's a local ordinance to wear masks inside.

I arranged to rent 2 dozen furniture pads and a hand truck along with the Uhaul truck. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the attendant informed me Uhaul had no furniture pads available. Also, the hand truck was broken and barely functional.

The van needed an oil change, lights were on whole time. The location did not have blankets, despite me being charged for them. They let me use greasy blankets from the auto repair shop. The worst was the digital sign in. That's a uhaul issue, not a location issue. Took forever.

Wonderful service, from making my reservation with Sam to meeting Robert and Roger doing check in. I knew what to expect as far as pricing and fees down to the steps of returning it and where to park. Never been here before but will definitely visit in the future. Absolutely wonderful.

During times of Covid the people working at the counter (I saw 3 in total during my experience ) were not wearing masks at all and required me to come into the store and interact with them and get closer than 6 feet and they wore no mask at all which is not even legal in the state of NC

Location was great and return was easy because the owner at Wades saw me pull in and got us checked out without having to deal with the online experience. Automated check-in process using the smart phone was a pain. Had to enter multiple secondary contacts - was not obvious that U-Haul would try to call them before letting us get our keys and be on our way. Instead, the app just kept popping a message asking for secondary contact info. "James" was our remote check-in rep. He came off as rude - hung up on my wife. Should have been a 5 minute process but took us about 30 minutes to pick up the keys and get our move started. If you value your time and unelevated blood pressure, skip the online check-in process. It's not great and can delay you when you already have a busy day in front of you.

General comment, not location specific. The left and right steel trailer guards on the front cross frame blocked the frame of my car upon backing out. A nice after hours genetleman pointed out the problem. I was able to place chucks of asphalt behind each front tire to lift over the guards, however, the passenger guard did bend back about a 1/2 inch. This guard should be repositioned to its original position. Thanks!

The owners were not wearing a mask, although the town of Durham has everyone wear one inside businesses. While inside the store the staff were friendly, but did not social distance. I did not want this location, but was switched last minute from my preferred location, which when I drove past it, had plenty of 20' trucks. I had to pay extra mileage, because they did not give me the extra 10 miles I had to drive.

The location has so much cigarette smoke inside that going in to take care of any paper work made my clothes smell of cigarette smoke. It is 2020, there are many public smoking bans in many states. This is the second time I have used this location, only because it was closer to the location where I needed to pick up something that only would fit in a large truck.

They knew I was going one way and wouldn't let me get the newer truck instead told me they use that for local only which didn't make sense and wouldn't show me how to load my vehicle on the dolly instead told me I had to pay him $20 for them to do it and I can watch and see

Customers' health and safety should be a primary concern, but the proprietors did not wear face coverings or encourage physical distancing. For your own as well as your customers' sake, please use face masks and practice social distancing as much as is reasonably practical.

The people working here were not wearing masks or practicing social distancing and when I was wearing my mask and trying to be distant, they still made me get nearer to them to sign the paperwork instead of passing it to me at a distance. In addition, the inside of the office and the van reeked of cigarettes -thru my mask- and was nauseating and gave me a headache. I would not rent from here again.

This is not the fault of Wade's Texaco, but I reserved two dollies and there were none. This made moving more difficult.
