Fill up the tank! My rental cost me about $25 more in gas as I had to guess how much to put in to equal where the guage was when I picked it up. I ALWAYS get burned on this from U-HAUL. I think you rip people off by charging them for returning rentals without filling up, then NOT using the over inflated gas price to fill it ip yourself. If you never actually fill up the tank, then why would you charge someone a fee for using the previous customers gas? It is a U-HAUL scam.John M.
When I entered the store I overheard a customer discussing how he was overcharged. When I returned my vehicle after @2hrs I was charged for driving well over 150 miles. I made a 25mile trip. The clerk then asked me to step aside so he could help gentlemen who had JUST entered the store. He said he would calculate my total and email me later. I reiterate that NO you are helping me and you should complete my transaction â€œnowâ€ instead of later calculating â€œhowâ€ I drove over 150 miles in 2 hrs. He literally responded as if he was defeated....so does your store make a habit of overcharging certain people?CYNTHIA W.
I was over billed.I said NO on extra coverage and the gas was put back for the 20 miles driven.Been on hold for 60 min with Gurnee store this is ridiculous not right I appreciate a call back 331 481 0180ROCCO D.

My only concern is I pulled this trailer 800 miles and worried the entire way a little because no spare tire. I know you just call for repair but on 65 in Indiana there are some lonely parts of the road. I was on a short timeline a flat and wait for repair would of made me miss my appointment.TERRY Z.

Very efficient. I rented a cargo van and it ran great. I used an appliance dolly which was too tall, so next time if the weather's better I would go with a pickup. The only negative is having to top off the tank after going just 25 miles and using the van for half the allotted 4 hour time. There's no way I used that much gas. But overall it was a good experience.DAVID H.

Worst experience ever. They rented us a moving van that had just came out of impound as it had been in an accident and was then not inspected. It also had no gas in it and barely made it to the gas station. Then started to snow, to find out there was no driver windshield wiper. Rearview mirror was about to fall off. Manager called the next day and first thing he says is that we put too much gas in it. Instead of reimbursing us the $32.00 which we had a receipt, they reimbursed us $18.00 when they were not charging us for the rental due to what he said was 1000% unacceptable that they rented it to us. When we called to report the problem they said we could keep the rental an extra day but couldn't come tow it or return it to a local uhaul. Had to drive it with slush and salt all over the windshield in subzero weather with no front wipers. Overall horrible experience.BRIAN B.
