I picked up 20' truck from West Oak location on saturday for 24 Hr but returned on the same day in 6 hrs, but got phone on monday saying i didnt returned the vehicle, and then after confirming all the details, i still got charged by U Haul more than 300$ extra on my credit card, very disappointing.. for well established company like U Haul..

This U- Haul location ( 14900 Westheimer, Houston TX-77082 ) has one of the worst, arrogant and rude manager I have ever met and the most horrible customer service. In September 2018, due to moving to another state I installed a hitch by this U-Haul location, the manager lost my car’s toe hook during the installation and later denied that my car had the toe hook at all. This was a big disappointment because I signed the paper that said I’d get the toe hook after installing the hitch. After I mentioned, about the paper I had signed she stated this paper signing was universal. Why they are not checking it before installing and signing the universal paper? They are not on time. I missed my appointments due their on fake promise on how long it would take. She said this installation would take only 2 hours but it ended up being 4 hours. I asked if I could take one of their rental vehicles to attend my appointments because it was taking longer, she refused. Days later I reserved a box trailer of 5'x8' from this store and I got a call before appointment day that they didn't have it. So they sent me to Sugar Land store. There I got it, but they installed the ball mount very low. After loading my stuff, the connecting area was almost on the ground. So I went to this store (14900 Westheimer) and one of the members replaced the ball mount with a new one and refused to refund the price for the one his store manager already installed with hitch. So I had to pay for the new ball mount. Next morning I start driving from Houston towards VA early in the morning and after 10 miles the lights of the trailer went out. I couldn't figure out if the problem was with trailer lights or the cable light of my car. I had to go back to West Oaks ( 14900 Westheimer ) store and waited for the manager who had installed the hitch and wiring. Around 7:15am she finally came and I asked her to check the cable lights of the car and the trailer lights. She refused to check any of above. As she said that the trailer was rented from Sugar Land store, so I should go there. She also didn't bother herself to check the cable lights of the car which was installed by herself during hitch installation. There was no choice left for me but to rent a 10' truck and return the trailer, as I was afraid that the lighting off problem again may occur during my trip from TX to VA and no U-Haul store or help line can offer me help even though I had bought the safe-mode insurance for Trailer and truck as well. I still could not trust these people. Also she refused to accept the trailer and I had to take it to Sugar Land store and returned it. In consideration with above events, I had to spend some extra 1000+ USD for this moving which really I blame it to this arrogant store manager. I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone for their bad service and the inconvenience and money they have cost me during my move.

Everything about U-Haul I love, their Professionalism, their politeness, & their Management team Ms. Alexa is a jewel!!! Yes, I definitely would recommend U-Haul to Family & Friends. The rates are very reasonable. I also rent storage & I am very impressed indeed. I work & go to school and with their 24 hr access now I don’t have to worry about getting there on a time clock. It’s my time and every storage facility should have this available. Their cleanness & the best part their restrooms are always CLEAN more cleaner than restaurants. Thank you U-Haul keep up the great work 10+

This has been THE WORST experience in my life, the store was unkept. they were painting panels in store, I was poorly assisted the poor guy next to me his helper just left him mid conversation. They are over charging me for things I did not take and have already paid. God damn hell hole.

The process to rent the truck went smoothly, but returning the truck was a Huge Hassle. I was told one price, only to check my account and be charged a different total. I spoke with two different employees and was given the run around before speaking with a manager. The manager/supervisor was very rude, and would not let me get a word in edgewise. I tried really hard to explain my end but she was not trying to hear it. So I think the next time I rent, ill pick a different location because I wasn't very satisfied with my service.

Have more than 2 employees processing a line of customers that wrap around the store and almost out of the front door. It’s ridiculous for me to make a reservation then have to wait for an hour and a half in a line.

You need better employee's ASAP .the experience was horrific and down right unprofessional, from the rude and nasty attitudes THAT the people working had to the lack of knowledge and sence of urgency it was all a mess!!!! There was 1 girl at the counter and 20 people in line, I waited nearly 2 hours to get a truck, only to find out you only had one size available. The truck was filthy and had an unpleasant smell as well. Never coming back here. Someone needs to fix this problem or you will lose more buissnes. I'm spreading the word

Because of the flooding of our home with Hurricane Harvey, we have used the location on multiple occasions and found them always to be very helpful and to go the extra mile. We certainly did not see that at the Morton Grove location.

I am very disappointed with the service I received at this location. I returned the vehicle as it was given to me . I fueled the truck close to the location of U Haul and I was charged $18.00 for fuel . I returned the vehicle at the gas level I rented the truck and I demand strongly for refund of the overcharged.

Yes location store did a great job calming down an irate customer who had been given run around by Uhaul overall. Order original from store on 529 near 99, order confirmed then get call and email stating equipment unavailable reassigned to Copperfield store on Hwy. 6 and again confirmed and email. On way to pick up next morning receive call that unit taken out for maintenance and dispatch notified for reassignment dispatch would notify when reassigned. Had to pull off to wait for reassignment. After 30 minutes and no notification called 800 number to follow-up was on phone but after 20 minutes on hold waiting for assistance hung up and called Copperfield store to see if they could help, they looked and saw that we had been reassigned but would need to call 800 number again to get store assignment. After again holding another 15 minutes finally talked to a rep who after a good 5 minutes was able to give us a reassignment location. Of course each reassignment took us further away from our pickup to use location and yes we had to pay for the distance and finalize the follow up ourselves with no confirmation email or phone call from dispatch. When we got to store first said they weren’t aware of reassignment but once Alexa (general manager) got on phone said just got in system and unit wouldn’t be there until another hour even though a unit was in lot. When we explained what we had been through she contacted dispatch and got approval to use the one way unit in lot to be used as a in area use vehicle and got us on our way. Our experience with each store was not a problem but as far as the overall experience with Uhaul leaves a sour taste in my mouth and not sure would give them high marks overall.

Improve your customer service at your front desk. The lady who initially checked me in was extremely rude and disrespectful. I will still use your vehicles but this particular location will never see me again. Thank you for providing a superior product.
