I reserved the smallest truck available which was a 10ft one. I had very little to move so I required the smallest. The day of pick up, I was informed that only a 26ft truck was available. I voiced my concerns about driving such a big truck multiple times to multiple staff members. It was extremely challenging for me to maneuver in parking lots and delivering the truck to a u-haul facility. The man at the delivery facility was extremely kind and understanding.Audra B.

First of all the employees from customer service and the Kingsport Location need to know how the pricing is for your equipment and inform the customer that if you go more than 20 miles away you will be charged for it. I was charged $41.40 for the mileage and $39.95 for the rental charges. None of that was brought to our attention neither that we were going to be charged for the big truck because the truck We requested was not available today 4/8/2021. Now let me remind you that we were there on 4/7/2021 requesting for the regular size truck & car dolly but they didn't have it available. We were quoted $19.99 for a regular size truck and $54.00 for the car dolly. I was charged $161.57 and I paid $180.00 and got some change back. Customer service was also called on 4/7/2021 and they said I would be charged approximately $175.00 for that day and if we brought the truck back to the same store we would get $100 back because we paid cash. We were told we didn't have to bring the truck back until the following day at 8:30a.m. We left in the truck @ 8:42 a.m and returned it by 1:30 p.m. The vehicle in tow was a 1996 Chevrolet S-10, not a 2002.. And the rental truck was refilled back up to 1/2 tank. I don't see how we were not reimbursed the $100 as told by Customer Service. This is what we were told, and there was 3 others there listening to the conversation, and it was recorded. We deserve our $100 back as told on 4/7/2021. The woman that set my contract up had a terrible attitude and messed my contract up twice. The first time she charged me for two days when I CLEARLY said 24 hours, she had to refund me and do a new order which was still messed up, saying I was returning the truck at 7pm, so I got a very nasty, hateful phone call in the early morning after spending the previous evening moving complaining that my truck wasn't returned and was very rude, one of the men that work there was top notch however, and I find it inconvenient that I'll have to work with him specifically to make sure to avoid terrible people. The name on my contract was Elihu Kiser but I did not catch her name specifically. If Elihu Kiser was the man that set my reservation I apologize for the name drop, he was great and very helpful. She has apparently been there for a long time but needs new training on listening to the customer and general customer service skills, including polishing her horrific attitude. I have never had a problem out of the Bristol Tn branch but unfortunately had a bad experience the first time I visited the Kingsport one. I love the UHaul service and expect a better quality of service from ALL employees next time.John G.

Lady inside wasn't wearing a mask. Was very rude. Uhaul smelt like smoke, had stuff all over the inside windows and even the invoice of the last driver was still in the truck. Major disappointmentChristopher T.
Kelly at this location would not honor a certificate for $50. When asked about it she lied and said she didn't get the number from my online reservation. Upon calling customer service I was told she ran it and didn't apply it. Customer service was awesome but I would not recommend this location.Angela S.
My original rental did not have my equipment (which was guaranteed when i made my arrangements) and tried to call for the 50 dollar guarantee but was on hold for over 30 minutes and hung up. That part of this was ridiculousJeremy B.
Please put information on YOUR website that trailers cannot be picked up via the online check-in. we sat outside for almost 20 minutes trying to figure out what we were doing wrong. Then, when we get inside, we're informed that we have to come in. That's not right. We did the extremely painful online check-in recently for a 24' truck, and thought it would get easier the 2nd time. not so. Corporate Uhaul needs to do a better job communicating. otherwise, the folks at this Uhaul location were outstanding. Thank you.Ronald V.
I was lied to about daily price and mileage cost and charged for an extra day. When I called to figure out what was going on, I was told the manager wouldn't be there until Saturday and I'd have to call back then. Absolutely ridiculous. I was quoted $131 and charged $207!Thomas W.
The people at the Kingsport U-Haul acted as if they were too busy to help me. It seemed as if I was bothering them. After making my reservation for a trailer, they tell me it would only be available if it was there. Wait! What? I make a reservation but it might not be there? This is no way to do business.....very unprofessional. If I reserve a trailer or a truck I expect it to be there on the reserved date. Fortunately a representative in Knoxville, TN, helped me and things went much smoother. The people at my pickup point in NC were very helpful and vouteoys. My return point in kingsport was not a pleasant experience. When I returned with the trailer I pulled it to the designated return point where there was a sign that said to wait there with your rental equipment. I waited 20 minutes and no one ever came to assist me. So I proceeded to go inside and find someone to assist for returning the trailer. At busy times need bettter train staff. Why have computers if employees try to use their cell phones on preorders.done online and their is a big hold up when customers are ask about contact person. That was the problem at all three registers at the same time.David H.

I wasnt expecting to have to roll the dollies myself all the way to section dd. I guess I could have came back and picked them up . We are seniors and our kids were doing all the lifting. We had a hard time getting the dolly in the truck. I believe the lady said she was leaving and was training someone else. I had my kids pick up the truck the last time. I guess that was a learning experience for me! All in all was satisfied with the equipment.Maria N.
