I set up the pick up as contactless however a mistake was made and I wasn’t have to access the vehicle until the store opened. One hour later than planned. I was on hold with customer service for 40 mins, I was transferred 3 times to wrong extensions, finally someone in Idaho was able to tell me that I had to wait for the store to open. Luckily I didn’t have to move too big of a load, however I had made plans to start at 8:00am not at 9:00am. Everybody makes mistakes, I’m not upset about the mistake, but I wasn’t too impressed about the long wait in the phone and the transfers to wrong extension.

FREDERICK KI moved from Sudbury, Ontario to Sault Ste. Marie. I made a reservation in person at the Barrydowne location. I went in to the Barrydowne location not once, not twice, but thrice to get boxes and confirm my reservation. Everyone there WAS very nice. I even went in the day before I was to pick up my truck to confirm I would be picking it up at the Barrydowne location. I was told I would have a truck as well as an appliance cart ready…. Later that same day, I received a text starting my pick up location had moved… to a quick mart on Bancroft. While having to kick cats out of my way as well as be interrupted by each convenience store customer that came in, it turns out there is no cart. The clerk there could have cared less. Skipping ahead, at my time and cost of fuel, I was advised to drive across town in a 26’ truck to pick up a fridge cart. As I again paid more, I noticed that there was a notice on the debit machine saying something along the lines of “did you know we guarantee that all of your items will be where we say when we say?”. It wasn’t. When I asked exactly does guarantee mean, he said he didn’t know. When I asked if it could be included ($15/day doesn’t seem like much of a gesture for a company of your size) he said he didn’t know how to do that. Skipping ahead to the actual drive, as someone who has worked in automotive for the last 15 years, I can tell you with all certainty that the truck I rented has a failing steering rack, as well as a severe mapping issue. Meaning it would get up to 4000rpms (1.1 mpg) before shifting gears. I hope that truck was repaired before someone else drove it. It’s a death trap and burnt way more fuel than necessary, and incredibly dirty. Now, the return. I explained this to the lady who I returned it too in Sault Ste Marie, the condition of the truck, the fuel mapping issues and yes, the truck was returned with 1/4 less than I took It with. She advised that I would not be charged the extra fuel due to the issues of the truck, and BAM! 2 days later another $150 charge.
FREDERICK KUpon return (drop off), I was not in the system, the place I picked it up had not done his job and put my info in the system...a lot of my time wasted!! They guy just told me to park it outside and that I could leave. Wasn't giving me any proof or return and did not want to be responsible for it at the end of the day cause of these people not doing their job!!
