We rented the van for a few hours my husband only complained is the seats.if it was along trip it would be comfortable beside that it was good

1. I ordered a dolly days in advance with the U-Haul and the day of, they said there was no dolly available and to contact customer service if I'm upset about it. Would have REALLY appreciated a heads up. 2. The U-Haul was covered in snow and ice upon pickup. I had to remove the snow and scrape the ice off. This is understandable if it snowed the day off, but this was a week of piled on snow. Ça Not impressed. 3. The U-Haul had a constant « change engine oil soon » message which made it very hard to read the odometer reading. The sales attendant was insistent I keep trying till I get it. Waste of a few minutes from a already very hectic 24 hours.
Shalaila B.I rented the cargo van and When I went to complete the pre op, the van had obviously not been cleaned. food crumbs n chicken bones as well as gloves were in the driving area and passenger door has garbage... when I pulled out to leave, a large amount of snow came down from the roof onto the windshield! once I returned the van, the clerk tried to tell me I had used 142 km but I did the math and it was only 62km . I also didn't get the receipt emailed as I was told I would... The workers that assisted me were pleasant and professional...
Dominique P.The store where I picked up the van had 2 cats inside. I don't believe it is a U-Haul thing but a cat inside a convenience store is strange and may not be sanitary. I booked the truck for a 7am pick up. I followed the instructions to collect thr key as the location only opens at 9am. But when I followed thr instructions, the message said I had to go back after the location opened to get the key. I called U-Haul customer sevice and they told me that therr was an error since no instructions were provided. I was offered a $50 credit. I left the location, and went back for 9am. When I did collect the key, my $50 dollar could not be found the clerk in your system. I called customer service back and was told that it will take 24hrs to be credited to my credit card. All in all, the experience wasn't too bad but I was delayed because of the oversight of the pick up. I am watching for the credit to apploed to my card, I hope there are no more delays.
Brian B.The place where I picked up was great, the contact there was helpful. BUUUUT Uhaul as a company is GARBAGE!!! I spent an hour and a half on the phone trying to get the truck I had reserved and some help from movers, because when I went to pick up the truck it wasn't there. As a result, I missed the timeframe that a friend was going to help me move furniture into the truck. He was no longer able to help due to the fact that I was delayed a few hours and had to drive elsewhere to get the truck, then drive to another location to pick up the car tow and then back to the first place to get my car. Uhaul did not help with finding or paying for movers and instead gave me the run around on the phone as they put me on hold and had me talk to someone else. I will NEVER use their services again!
