I pulled up with the tow dolly's ramp secured with a tie-down and rope, and the manager, Mr. Avaira, walked up and said, "So your trip went well!" How completely unaware, unconcerned, or diversionary can one be? I told him that my trip definitely did not go well, that it should be obvious the ramp is being held together with a tie-down, and that I wasn't happy about the equipment's failure, or being robbed at night, or being broken down on the highway. He stated he would go get the paperwork to release me from the contract, and he disappeared inside, abandoning me and the situation. His employee removed the tow dolly from my truck, asked me how my day was going, and I reminded him that since I had been robbed the night before, it may take awhile for me to rebound from it all. The employee didn't even remove my tie-down to return it to me. I went inside, Mr. Avaira was on the phone, I sat and waited awhile and finally interrupted him to ask if he could release me from the contract so I could go. He informed me he was speaking to someone regarding my issues and was verbally quite hostile and generally disrespectful towards me. After a bit, I interjected his one-way conversation and asked if I would be given any financial consideration, reduced price, considering the equipment's failure. He informed me Mr. Kevin Ward would be contacting me regarding my situation, but four days later, I have not heard from Mr. Ward. I attempted to contact the U-Haul location where I rented the dolly, but am repeatedly on hold, and no one ever takes the call. (954-584-1500) It is amazing how costly an equipment failure can be in the end!!!

I reserved a 10ft truck and received a 15ft. With no notice of the change . I did not like the bulky size for what I needed to move and then had to watch for overhead clearance . It also used extra fuel as opposed to the 10ft. I think o should have been notified of the change.

I ordered and reserved a 15' truck in advanced. I even called the day before to confirm. When I arrived to pick up the truck, they could not find the keys. After looking for the keys for 45 minutes they said they would upgrade me to the next size truck for free. However that size (24') was not available as they thought. After another 15 minutes they said they would put me in a 26' truck again for no charge to me. I thanked them, and I am very grateful that I got a truck However, due the the fact that I did not have enough stuff to fully fill a 26 foot truck, some of my items were damaged in the move. Also, the 26 foot truck took more gas than a 15 foot truck would which cause me additional funds that were not in my move budget, thus leading to a hardship financial inconvience. I belief that U-Haul should reimburse me a portion of the $135.00 of gas expense I had to incur because of the necessary upgrade due to U-Haul misplacing the keys. In addition the new truck's shocks were shot so with the additional room, and constance bouncing, I think U-Haul should pay for the damage to my personal items. Had I had a completely fully 15 foot truck, there would not have been extra space for my items to move even if the shocks on the vehicle were bad as this one's were. I have always used U-Haul and recommended U-Haul to friends in the past. Very, very, very disappointed in this experience!

uhaul online screwed up! i signed up to pu at the above location, and received a confirmation, but uhaul online did not set it up with them. i showed up and they had no record of me. Uhaul online changef my pu location to 40 miles away.

Customer service for this location is excellent. I would highly recommend calling these fellows first before other locations for uhaul needs.

Although they attempted to make things right; I was highly disappointed with the fact that they rented out the pickup truck that I had an online reservation for with them for almost 2 weeks prior. They insisted that my only option was to rent a 10 foot box truck; costing me much more money than I had originally planed on using. I was also not able to compete the job I had reserved the truck for. I will NOT be using them again.
