They did not greet us when we walked in, the path to the desk from the door is all blocked off with displays and boxes. We had to walk around everything like it was a maze. We walked up to the counter and they barely spoke to us, they were more interested in talking to each other. I finally got their attention and the guy spoke so low we couldn't tell if he was talking to us or himself. Then when he FINALLY gave us the keys, he didnt even walk us to the truck, he pointed in a general direction of where it was parked and let me find it myself. It was cold out and it was cold in the truck because someone left the driver door open. I won't be coming back to this location!

Made my reservation for a 20 ft. truck 2 weeks before my move and pre-paid for it, then spoke to a representative the day before my scheduled rental and he assured me the truck was there and ready to go - he even emailed me a confirmation. When I got there at 7:30 am the next morning, there was no truck. While supposedly "seeing what he could do", the store manager spent most of his time on personal phone calls and took a very lackadaisical attitude toward my situation. It took almost 4 hours to get a truck, and while they gave me a credit on the overall rental it was no where near sufficient to cover what I had to pay to the moving teams at both my starting and ending locations for their waiting time, not to mention the distress I experienced. It may not be the end of the world, but when your out-of-state move is structured around picking up a truck first thing in the morning, and you've been assured by an employee at the location that the truck is there, it sucks to find that it's not. And there was no culpability or sense of urgency in rectifying the problem. I'd heard at another U-Haul location that Brockton U-Haul had problems, but I chose to make my reservation there regardless because it was the closest to me. I only wish I'd listened to the anecdotal evidence beforehand. If I should ever find myself in need of renting a moving truck in future, I would go to pretty much any company other than U-Haul because I need to work with a company I can trust and count on - to know that a confirmed and pre-paid reservation will be treated as something meaningful instead of a crapshoot.

Service was fine, but the truck was a piece of junk. Interior visors were falling off, the seat belt light and buzzer kept going off even though I had my seat belt buckled. Good thing I only needed the truck for local use. Also, I was charged for gas due to their misreading of the gas gauge, which I didn't realize until I received my emailed invoice.

I rented over the phone and that process was very easy and smooth. They had my number from a previous rental so none of my information needed to be given. I was impressed by that process and check in and check out was smooth at the location too.

U-HAUL RIPS OF THEIR CUSTOMERS! It's a shake down for money at their most desperate time, plus their customer service sucks, there reservation system failed, and they scam their costumers. I booked a 15'' truck for August 31st, at 6:30 pm for 24 hours, i have the email. I arrive early to pick it up, but no truck is available. They told me if one doesn't show up the best they offer is $50. I have to move that day $50 doesn't fix any of my problems. They look up my reservation and it's for Sept 1, I show them my confirmation email for the 31st so they put me next in line for a truck. I wait until almost 8 and finally i get a truck. Then they RIPPED ME OFF! I go to check out the truck and RIGHT BEFORE IS SIGN they tell me my reservation is now for 12 hours, NOT 24. If i bring it back at my reserved time I get charged a them $150 late fee. I have to bring it back at 8 am, but i can't move in until 12 pm..,. I either don't take the truck, they give me $50, and i can't move out that day. Or i pay their shake down fee and move in. I booked for 24 hours, now I have to pay $150 for keeping my reservation. NEVER USING U-HAUL AGAIN! Plus the customer service reps were lazy, rude, and could give a shit about the situation. That stuff is irrelevant to the fact that i got shaken down for $150 on move in day.

I made a reservation for a 24' truck in the Waltham MA office, when I went to pick it up at the Brockton MA office, they didn't have my truck, only a smaller one. As a result I had to do 2 trips during my moving which had brought many expenses with it. First I spoke with the scheduler manager who said she would refund half of my rental price, I waited two weeks and never got the refund. Than I called again, the other manager said he would call me back since he was busy, its been 2 weeks, and I still haven't received a call back. It would be great if they cared about customer service.

Don't allow customers to choose more hours than they are allowed to while requesting a rental. I requested a 12 hour rental and it went through without issue, it wasn't until a week before my rental date that I was informed my rental was only 6 hours because that is the maximum allowed. There was no mention of this while submitting my request.

Being quite a hectic day, I had to wait an 1.5 hours for a uhaul, and then once I took off I noticed the tank was only at 1/8th. That being said, I was still hit with a late charge for being 5 minutes late upon return. Staff did their best with what they were given but wouldn't recommend at all.

The manager and his staff was just chatting leaving the customers standing in line waiting for them. They only stopped when we called out to them to attend to us and this when more than 5minutes has elapsed. Bad customer service.

The price of $19.99 advertised on the cargo van is misleading. It shows the unwillingness of your company to be straight forward about prices and charges of the service. I was charged $67 not $19.99. I was only allowed only few hours before midnight. Bad!!!
