Instructions on the U-Haul app required verification on the same date as the reservation. There was no mention of needing to go into the store at the location. Verification prior to date and time of pickup will be much better. We spent almost an hour at the site with verification and subsequent calls to and from U-Haul. Also, instructions to verify the truck plate number after it was picked up was sent some time after pickup. Similarly, return instructions were sent during or soon after arrival at the site.

When I picked up the truck it had less than 1/16 of a tank. I returned it with more fuel than I had when I picked it up but I was hit with a fuel charge.
