The computer servers are unable to keep up with the demand and almost cost me $2500 for late fees on a real estate deal. had I not made the guy keep trying to get it to work. The vehicle had a lot less fuel than it was supposed to and the rental guy told me not to bother with an inspection. Fortunately the office where I returned the vehicle in Coombs phoned uhaul head office and they made it all better. The people at the place I returned the truck and Uhaul themselves were great but the Duncan location like everything else in Duncan sucks.

No dropoff box for key. I had to make a extra trip (1 hr) to drop of key. The response to my comment about the no drop off box and extra trip was uhhh and a shoulder shrug. Not impressed. I will be using Budget next time.
Arrived to to a safe drop after hours only to have a note on the door saying "drop box broken, was not waiting here all night, come back tomorrow with your truck". There was some poor fellow outside that was supposed to be picking up a truck and was totally screwed. He couldn't reach anyone. So I left the key in the locked back and put the faulty shitty lock back on it, just the way it was left for me. 5 days later I get a call from that location telling me I will have to come and unlock the back for them. I called and told them the same code that corporate sent me and the guy was so rude and huffy that I was not coming to unlock the back for him. Then he hung up on me when I tried to explain calmly why it is locked due to their drop box issues. Where do you find these people? I own my own business and if I treated people like this I would go broke. I am half inclined to call corporate and complain, but it won't solve anything If you employ assholes then I guess you are settign the corporate culture as that is acceptable. Needless to say I will not be using uhaul in the future nor will I be telling anyone good things. Have a fucking terrible day!
The service was extremely slow. Uhaul needs to get a faster booking system. It took them 30 minutes to serve 3 customers, due to a slow computer system. I was checked-in before I arrived. It didn't make a difference.
The customer service rep was excellent and had to step in because The online check in was too complicated. Please streamline this or don't recommend it as an easier alternative for renters. Thanks :)
I find that information that I have entered online and then have to repeat to the individual offices is a huge waste of time. We are well beyond a time when this should be happening. Your offices should have pertinent information as soon as the website does. Then maybe people wouldn't have to wait 45 min to pick up rentals. This is after the first location we went to didn't have the truck size we needed because someone didn't return a truck. No trackers?! I missed a ferry and had a very stressful day moving only one item because of how inefficient your system is, not to mention had to drive more kilometers too!

get your 24/7 pick up sorted. We we waited over an hour at the pick up as the truck share app had clearly not worked. Do vehicle checks with the client. Don't park so close to posts and or other trucks.
I could not do my on line registration due to your web site, I called and was on hold for over 30 minutes waiting for a live person. The location manager showed up early at 8:30 and opened 1/2 hour early and did my paper work. She saved my day and your web registration and phone center needs to be reviewed
The first time I used this location the hours on the door were different from online. This time when I returned the truck the key drop box was missing so I had to throw the keys through the gap in the door because I was leaving town that night
Absolute horrible experience. I started receiving calls 6 days after I returned the truck and was continuously hung up on. When i drove to the office location I received verbal abuse like I was some kind of moron for asking why they were calling me. Gentleman I received the abuse from was by the name of James Hancock according to the contract. This is beyond acceptable behavior

I understand with the covid-times we are experiencing that hours may have changed, but perhaps staying open later than 4pm so that people who use a trailer/hitch combo are able to return the hitch, as there is no drop box. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience, and great staff.

Keep a broom or dust pan with unit to keep it clean. Also have signage where ownership papers are when stopped. Some jurisdictions only accept original paperwork. Hard to find these in rented unit. Clearly marked in vehicle would help.

My experience there prior to this last rental had been good, I rented 3 times. However, this time I was informed that I had to pay for fuel, which had never been told to me before this 4th rental. She said the fuel was at 5/8ths, which was not accurate. I therefore had to put in 12 dollars of fuel for 12 km of use, which to me and how much a truck burns for fuel anointed to much more then I think the truck used. So on addition to the new fact that I had to pay for fuel, the amount I had to replenish it to was inaccurate and that overall attitude of the women there was not pleasant when I was confused how this could be so. I will never rent from U-haul again, and I will inform people of the type of business that is being conducted there.
I am still waiting for a call about my bill. Te has requested a furniture dolly, yet when we picked up the truck after hours, there was no dolly in the truck. It was very inconvenient as we had to carry everything by hand into the elevator and down four floors.
Even though I checked in online the day before to supposedly make picking up the van quicker, and arrived at the scheduled pick time, I still had to wait approx 15 minutes while only attendant dealt with another customer. I had to sweep out van before using. Didn't put on alot of km's so even paying .59 cents a km, was still less than half the cost of other rental companies.
Worker was very personable and so kind. She is definitely A breath of fresh air companirednto a lot of workers at this location in prior rentals. This is a major factor that will make me come back. Great customer service will keep guest coming in! Thank you for the conversation & easy of rental process :)
