There was broken glass shards all over the back of the truck, posing a hazard to us and our moving help. My brother also was concerned that the truck would not make it to Lansing, it really had no pickup and go and struggled a bit

This place was a disaster from the start. I rented an auto transport and the woman on the phone said I was supposed to get a free storage unit with the rental. I get to the shop and the women at the front desk were rude. Long story short I was not given the free unit that was offered to me. At the time I cancelled my other unit so I didn't have a storage unit for a week. I had to move all of my stuff to a friends house causing extra trips and more moving because I have to move my stuff again. I would never recommend Uhaul to anyone else and if someone asks I will be giving them my honest opinion(which is this place is awful).

My truck had 1/16th of a tank of gas. Super inconvenient to have to fill up the gas tank prior to even starting my move. The back of my truck was dirty with bits of trash from the previous move that I had to clean up so I wouldn't get a fine. There was also disorganization around my dolly order. I ordered the $7 dolly, which they told me they didn't have any of, so they offered me the $10 dolly at the $7 price. That was fine, except on my bill I was charged for both the $7 dolly and the $10 dolly. Ironically, the employee never gave me the $10 dolly and I forgot all about it, but on my truck was the $7 dolly attached in its normal spot with the zip tie and wing nut. I called in after seeing my receipt and they gave me the $10 back, but still an unnecessary hassle. I was told to return my truck by 8:30pm, but was never told the store would be closed and that I'd need to check it in on the app. A text had told me that, but I was busy moving and did not pay attention to my texts. I am thankful I did not get a fine because by the time I realized I was supposed to use the app to check the truck in, I was already home and it was past 8:30pm.

Based on my experience nothing. Quick and efficient. Maybe if anything offer a 2 5/16 ball option for your hitches om your pickup trucks.

Three times they confirmed my reservation, back/forth on the phone they had my pick-up location wrong. When I picked it up the girl asked where I was dropping off, I told her Canal, I get THERE and she had Burlingame as the drop off, just incompetent people they have working for them, GO somewhere else to rent a truck they will get it wrong!

I dropped off my U-Haul rental overnight and the manager who checked-in the vehicle decided to charge me for a full tank of fuel although I picked up the rental not completely full. I assumed the manager or the employee would only charge me for fuel from the level when I picked it up to the level I returned it at. I managed to call customer service and got a $6.00 refund (the overcharge). I have photos if you need them.

Let the customer know that when picking up a truck when the office is closed they must download the UHAUL App and that they need to have more verification from someone else than the people renting it. That part was very frustrating.

Truck bed had light muddy footprints on the inside, so I assume trucks aren't cleaned (the $20 cleaning service charge isn't applied) before sending back out. The experienced staff were as helpful as possible but had many customers to attend to.

System was very slow and kept crashing, but the staff worked hard to be positive and serve customers to the best of their ability despite the circumstances.
