Made the reservation several weeks in advance to avoid any last-minute stress. The day before pick-up I was advised that my pickup time and location had been changed. Like Jerry says, "You're good at taking the reservation, you're just not very good at keeping the reservation".

Billy C.Terrible, terrible customer service. When I arrived, the uHaul agent was assisting another customer who was looking to purchase auto accessories. The agent neither greeted me nor acknowledged me, even though I had walked near him and the customer. After several minutes, I realized that he was going to be a while with the customer. Thus I returned to my car for about 10 minutes, so as to not hover over the agent and the customer. I returned. I waited patiently for another 2 - 3 minutes. The uHaul agent knows that I am standing there. Still no acknowledgement or greeting. I finally, said, "Excuse me, I'm just here for a uHaul pick-up." The agent says very abruptly, "OK. . . and I'll be with you when I'm finished!", and returned to helping the customer. I waited another minute or so, and said "I'm not trying to be rude, but I have a scheduled 11 o'clock pick-up. It's after 11, and I am on a very tight schedule." At that point, he went behind the desk and pulled up my reservation. He did, at that point, get me checked-in and finish the process so that I could get the keys. However, there was no "thank you". No apology for the wait. When I thanked him, there was no "you're welcome." Just the bare minimum of exchange necessary to process the rental. I was in dire need of the truck that day. Otherwise, I would have cancelled the reservation on the spot. At no point during this experience did I feel welcomed or appreciated as a customer. While waiting for the agent to finish the paperwork, I ended up chatting with the customer. He happened to be a very, very nice older gentlemen. He was purchasing accessories for his new truck. For what it's worth, the agent and the customer were both white men. I am a 40-something African American woman. There was, for whatever reason, obvious disdain from the moment I walked through the door. I will never, ever rent from this location again, nor will I ever recommend it. On a good note, the truck was clean, and being able to return the truck via phone app was great.
