We were very satisfied with the trailer rental and our move went flawlessly, however when we returned the trailer (after hours), we were unable to complete the online check in, we could not get past the location verification.

Vehicle had very little washer fluid. Inside windshield was dirty and smeared. I had to clean it before I drove off. When I started the vehicle it said the right rear tire was low and I fortunately had a portable air pump with me to fill it up. I reserved the vehicle for 9:00 and didn't leave until 9:38, after arriving at 8:50 to pick up the vehicle. It took that fill the washer fluid, fill the tire, clean the windshield and check in using the app. This is the second time I've had a problem renting equipment from Sunshine pools. I rented a 5x9 trailer a couple weeks prior and when I went to pick it up, I had to ask the young woman if she was going to hook the trailer up. She said she could do it. When I pulled around, the trailer was full of snow and I asked if she could shovel it out and she went and got a shovel. Unfortunately after WE got the trailer on my hitch, cause she was not physically strong enough to do it herself, the trailer wiring connector was bent and damaged and would not plug into my wiring receiver. So I could not rent the trailer and all my plans for that day were ruined. Sunshine Pools needs to make sure their equipment is properly maintained and ready to rent. Will rent from somewhere else in the future.

Never used U-Haul before, guess location service was typical. We bought accident insurance, and someone smashed the left fender in South Carolina. Had no cell phone. SC Highway Patrol had no records, so filing report was impossible. U-Haul failed to honor insurance or refund the amount paid, so I had to pay for repairs.

Sunshine pools location has no outside lighting after dark. The truck is returned in pitch dark. Backup lights on those trucks suck. You can't see to back up without riding the brake to see with more light..

Person to person contact was best. By telephone varied from one phone call to another. Website was much worse with confusing directions, insufficient information, and just plane WRONG information at times. Do yourselves a favor, continue customer contact with REAL PEOPLE. Believe me, in the end you will have more satisfied customers.

If you'd asked me to rate my overall experience with U-Haul, I would have given ZERO stars. Your advertised prices are extremely misleading. Not only did it cost WAY more than expected, but I had to drive two extra locations away to return the truck- despite the fact that we requested a closer drop off location. So you got my mileage money too, good job. This rental was not worth it and I will never bother with U-Haul rentals again. If I'd known how much it would cost up front, I would have saved my money and hired a company. Ridiculous.

I always have issues at the my other local uhauls (Rumford and Auburn stores). The Jay store is always a pleasure to deal with. Tell the other stores to replicate the quality of customer service at the Jay store and they'd probably do more business!
