While the Narrowsburg location and service was excellent, for some reason the main office switched my location for pick up which made no sense. Straightening it out was a comedy of errors and very frustrating.

I got charged for 3 gallons of gas when I returned the truck with the same amount of gas as when I left. I have photos to prove it

LINDA BThe equipment wasn’t ready. They had no cell service for me to contact U-Haul to resolve an outstanding issue. The straps they provided for me to secure the vehicle I was towing all snapped which in return almost caused a major accident and the total loss of my vehicle and belongings. Fortunately I kept a close eye on the straps and stopped at a home depot to purchase proper straps. The total lack of expediting, ready and available equipment along with proper equipment was horrible. This all on top of the fact that I had to drive 2 hours out of my way to get the equipment I reserved. This information wasn’t provided to me until less than 12 hours prior to my reservation time. I lost 2 full days due to all of these delay inconveniences and horrific customer care. Right now I will never recommend U-Hual to anyone in addition to sharing this potentially fatal out-come with the extremely inappropriate, inaccurate, and highly dangerous straps that the U-Haul agent provided to me and stated that these would be sufficient. If I hadn’t put my own straps on this rig I would have definitely caused harm to myself and others no question or doubt in my mind. In addition to the two day delay this caused me it created a domino effect of just plain bad occurrences one after the other. The two day delay cost me thousands because everything in my schedule was delayed and extended. A minimum of 4000 in additional costs with other major inconveniences that resulted from the delay. To say that I’m upset or angry over this experience is a gravely insufficient response and feeling towards U-Haul and its agents at the location I acquired the equipment from. Horrible, simply horrible. A full refund is extremely appropriate for the one simple reason of the straps that could’ve killed myself and others alone not including all the other reasons.
