Quick and easy, got my keys got the truck and was out the door in 10 minutes. Returned the truck they said invoice sent to e mail, and I was out of there. I would still suggest bringing your disinfectant wipes and wipe down everything you will touch in the vehicle
For the online check in on returns - most people put the keys in the box first - perhaps make a notation not to turn in your key until the check in/out process is completed?
I have been a customer for five years. I rented a U-Haul to put more items in storage. I was also loading items in my car to take back to the house. When I got the truck, they told me I could not keep my car in the back I need it to move it to the front area. I have a handicap and have a permanent handicap sticker. I parked my car in the handicap spot on and they harassed me telling me I could not park there and park on the side. I told him I have a right to park there and they cannot legally tell me not to park there. The manager kept harassing me and bullying me about parking in the handicap spot. I asked where there was another nearby one because I was barely able to walk and I just had surgery on my feet Wednesday. That was three days prior. He then went inside to further talk about me to the other staff members which I thought was very unprofessional. He told me not to also park there because they have older customers that come. He also told me I'm making this all about me. Again very harassing; very unprofessional; and very illegal for him to try to force me to not park in a handicapped zone when I had valid credentials to do so. I asked his name. He told me it was Frederick and he was the manager And I can take his business card. He said that as if he had a sense of authority over me. I told him I will talk to his boss and left her a message.
First, I received a truck that was supposed to be out for maintenance because the tire was broken, after I made a complain, they told me to bring the truck back. Got a new truck and the gas tank was at 1/4. Return the truck at 1/4 and I got a bill of over 100 for gas. I called them and they realized that they never switched the old truck back in the system and the old truck was at full tank. Anyways, I'm supposed to be getting a refund and email about this refund, I'm still waiting for it. I really hope this location have people that actually pay attention to their jobs. It was too much hassle just to rent a truck.
Re: Contract # 87311785 On 1/26/21, my partner Hitesh and I arrived at 6:30 am to pick up our 15 ft Uhaul truck for a scheduled appt we had in New Jersey. We spoke with the Red Run Owings Mills, MD, location the day prior and they informed us that we could pick up the truck via the website and through the email instructions. Once we attempted this, we were unable to get past the gps page. It would not accept the gps location. We called 1-800-Go-Uhaul and they were unable to assist us with this problem. The female on the phone acknowledged that they have continual problems with this gps aspect of the process and settings in customers' phones etc. We had to WAIT until 8:30 am , until the store location opened, to pick up our rental. Once we did this, the store associate, a young male was rude and unhelpful. He stated that we just had to go into the email and adjust the settings in the phone and he was able to â€œ walkâ€ people through the process. I explained that he was not there at 6:30 am to assist us. He acknowledged that that would be a problem! Our reservation was for 6:30 a.m., and we were then two hours behind schedule!! Once we got into the rental truck, I noticed the truck was only 3/4 Full. After being told the truck was FULL! We had to turn around shortly after as we called the location to inform them of same. We spoke with a female manager who informed us that WE should have Checked first and that we needed to turn around and come BACK! We turned around and came back and the young male noted the receipt as â€œ3/4 tank at dispatchâ€. This put us even FARTHER behind!!!! This female manager could have given us the benefit of the doubt; however, she had us return to have the receipt NOTED!, which we did. Additionally, when we got into the truck at 8:30 am, it was full of snow and ice! The walkway outside there location was also full of black ice. Knowing that there was a storm that came in the evening prior, it is UNACCEPTABLE that no employees came in to have the equipment ready or the walkway and parking lot ready for customers! There were already 3-4 customers in the store at the time of its opening!!! When Hitesh returnee the truck this morning, on 1/27/21, he asked that the truck rental would be checked in his presence. All 3 employees, refused to check the truck with him and stated that they would check it themselves and then email the invoice. After that, Hitesh called 1-800-Go-Uhaul on the phone to relay that the truck was not checked in front of him, as requested, they refused to intervene, and stated that â€œtheyâ€ would just check the truck. Wr are requesting that we have some amount of a refund as the store location charged even ADDITIONAL as the truck was returned slightly later due to our entire trip having to be pushed back from the delay when we picked up the e truck! Rep did not seem knowledgeable about basic questions regarding the rental process. Referred me to call uhaul customer service. Could improve professionalism but compared to drop off experience rep was fine.
The online reservation experience was good. The unattended vehicle pick before/after business hours is severely lacking. As currently constructed, this feature offers no ROI or efficiencies. Poorly developed and definitely not a Human Centered Design.
I didn't want to rent from this location because of some of the reviews posted on line. Even though they didn't offer a one way truck rental, this was the closest facility for me to use. I am glad I did . The location was 3 minutes from my storage unit. There facility was clean and so were the trucks. Easy after hours returns made it very convenient for me ,plus the person who took my reservation was very well mannered. I would use this place again. So don't believe everything you read. I had a good experience here.
The young lady who serviced me was extremely rude, disrespectful totally dismissive as to ending my 8 year business with this location. The service lady wouldn't even discuss or tell me what the process is for closing out my unit because it has been so long. She never even asked me for my unit number on both occasions of us speaking. When she gave me the key I knew she had seen the dashboard lit up like a christmas tree reading there was a tire issue and the headlights weren't working properly or at all, now that's and what really sent me over the edge and mind you it was 1:30 am. once I finally cleared out my storage unit andit was dangerous driving I couldn't see a thing. The next day I arrived she still had the same unpleasant disposition as the day before. She went to clean the truck and came back with all these outrageous numbers on the receipt, and did not even explain why. She didn't mind adding in extra cost for services that I hadn't even used. Her performance as a representative of Your Space Storage is absolutely horrible. On top of all that the truck reserved for me had to be the most unreliable, disgusting moving truck I've ever used. I am very disappointed with the final form of business with YSS, and I will never, ever recommend them to anyone.
Always an awesome experience
Please tell renters in ADVANCE that they will need to check the truck in through the link before locking the truck, turning in the key and leaving the gate. We went to do from home and had to go back to the lot to locate ourselves... and we didn't have access to the truck to do all that was needed.
Customer service wasn't good but I was able to rent the truck so that's a plus.
The inside of the Uhaul was dirty with mud. I had to lay a blanket down so my mattress wouldn't get soiled. I mistakenly left the blanket in the truck when returned. I left a message that evening explaining what happened. The next morning I called regarding the blanket and was informed that it had been thrown away. You all could have just called to see if it had been left by a mistake. The lady was not apologetic and almost rude when I was informed. During the check out process I came inside. The lady could use better customer service training.
They were amazing. Even when they technically didn't have a vehicle available they were able to work some magic and get me one for a quick use.
Fredrick and his cowaker whose name escapes me and very professional and friendly. I would recommend them and the services anytime.

Only good feedback. Location and equipment was very clean. Staff was welcoming, very friendly, helpful, and handled transactions quickly. I always use this location when I need a rental truck. I definitely recommend this location to any and everyone who has truck rental or storage needs. Five stars.
I was very unsatisfied with the picking up process/check in online.When I arrived at the truck location It took 55 minutes for the online check in/reservation I had to be confirmed- I called customer service and was placed on hold for fifteen minutes eventually being hung up on per an automated message. Eventually -after having the staff inside resend the reservation email for checking in and about to look for another truck rental company- the check in process was complete. With having my fellow mover and I wait almost a full hour for a simple check in was definitely not a plus.
