The passenger side mirror on the truck that I received was faulty and became loose and moved out of position as I drove. Before starting my trip, I checked that I had clear sight-lines. But, as I was driving on the interstate the mirror moved until I could not see anything on my right side, which was incredibly alarming. The mirror was held in place by a set screw that could only be tightened with an Allen wrench. The screw was stripped, so it was clear that this issue was a known problem and there had been an attempt to tighten the mirror. That means this location knew the mirror was bad and still sent this truck out on the road.

Terrible location; felt unsafe just picking up the vehicle. Lots of homeless people standing right outside the door. Also felt like I got upcharged, apparently you don't include tax in the online quote and only show it when the person is sitting right in front of the counter. The miles limit also doesn't make sense. Needless to say, I'm going back to Budget -- this was my last time using UHaul and I'll tell my friends and family the same thing

Uhaul blamed me for scratch damage to van I did not do and then didn't bother calling me about them. I just got an extra charge. I'd like to see the actual scratches I am being blamed for. I think it's poor practice to just bill a card with no communication.

It would be extraordinarily helpful if the address of the pickup location was included in the confirmation email after you book. I mistakenly chose the 13th and Vine location instead of 12th and Washington and nowhere in the confirmation email is the address obviously shown. Both are just called "Uhaul of Philadelphia ".

We had some difficulties using the self check-in service, in particular four times when we tried to take a picture the camera function did not load which was very concerning as we were worried we would not be able to pick up the vehicle. Thankfully it eventually started to work. In addition, having some directions as to where the vehicle is parked (ie in the lot on X St. or along Y St.) would be helpful to improve ease of finding the vehicle.

When I picked up the truck, it was at 3/4 of a tank, not 7/8 as they had mentioned. I tried calling the office but the line was too busy and I could not get through. Then, the locks on the truck were not working. We couldn't get into the car. I attempted to call roadside assistance and after waiting on hold for 30 minutes, I submitted a request online. We waited an hour and then caled our own locksmith who charged me $200. but again, the locks were not working. At this time, my movers had to leave. Absolute waste of money and no help from uhaul. Would not recommend.

short version: one person was checking ppl in therefore missed my reservation start time. long version: stood in line to get my truck reservation. an employee told me i could check in using app. tried it and couldn’t. asked her to take a look. at this point i was out of line. she kept telling me she would be right with me but after nearly 15 mins she said go back inside and check in. i could’ve been checked in already if i didn’t listen to her. then she came in to help work the registers and instead of helping me who she said she’d be right with and had been waiting a long time and missed the start time of the reservation she asked for the next person in line. what kind of dumb customer service move is that?

I initially reserved at a near by U-Haul... very disappointing, no vans or trucks when I got there. I was very happy with the customer service I received a 314-322 N. 13th St, Philadelphia, they understood my needs and treated me as a long time customer from the moment I met them, very professional.

1) Your website would not work when I tried to return the vehicle. 2) Your location services would not work when I tried to return the vehicle. 3) I've called the UHaul line three times. The first time it took over an hour to speak with someone and the second and third times took over a half an hour. This is ridiculous. 4)Your parking lot was filled when I tried to return the vehicle. There were three other trucks that had to be left in the street along with mine because they lot was grossly overbooked. The fact that you have to share location services and go through the website when you aren't connected to internet is troublesome. There needs to be printed instructions for the return so these issues are avoided. I've utilized UHaul a number of times and other locations provide printed instructions. After a long night of moving, I had to sit in the UHaul for an hour and a half by the time I received instructions to just park the truck in the street and drop the keys in the drop box. THAT COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN MENTIONED ON MY EQUIPMENT CONTRACT. On another note that I don't care about, but did notice, was that I was charged an extra mile probably for them to move the trucks around. I have the picture to prove it. Way to nickel and dime....

To customers renting a van or truck: upon pickup of the vehicle, I highly recommend carefully checking all 4 exterior sides AND all interior areas for damage (INCLUDING the cargo area!) If you see anything suspect, don’t assume that the staff at this location has already noted it in their record. Carefully crosscheck the digital images that are shown to you to see if all damage is recorded. To the staff: in my opinion you need to give all customers
