The truck was not ready at the location i booked the truck. Had to go to a different location to get a truck . Took over and hour before I got a truck. I had to pay the guys I hired the exter hour because of this mess

This was the second location I went to. No notification from UHaul that the first one (where I made the reservation) had been replaced. Get your act together. Not serious in my case but it could have been worse.

The U-haul associates who helped me at Postal Annex, Yncagcio Rd, Walnut Creek were the very best. I was stranded having left my cell phone in a cab. Andrew loaned me his phone and helped me for over an hour until I got it back. I was amazed at the customer service and consideration of both employees which is incredibly rare. The self-serve return was very convenient. You should snap up these two U-haul reps and put them in management. Really impressed.

I would have rated Excellent until the night after returning the van, I closely read the contract and noticed that I was charged $10 for coverage which I had declined. Shame on me for not closely reading the charges before I signed. I have moved over 12 times in 30 years and always use UHaul to purchase boxes, peanuts, bubble wrap and packing paper. I have rented cargo vans and small trucks. I am now down to 11,000 pounds of household goods but have been as High as 18000-20000. I am a GOOD customer going back many many years. In fact, if You look at my history in 2018, this is my third or fourth vehicle rental and I believe I always decline coverage. Further, I had rented a cargo van the day before and declined coverage. Why would I decline day before and accept it next day? Not consistent with my past rental behavior. When I phoned the Rep of Windsor Nancy Bradley the morning of 9/20 to inquire about the charge, she told me she was unsure it the charge Could be reversed but would try. When I explained to her how much I move and how UHaul is my go to resource, and that the Windsor location is now the closest to me, but I would not use it for my upcoming move in 2020 unless this overcharge could be reversed, SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! While I may have heard the other line ring, proper customer behavior would be to ask me to hold or ask to call me back. I immediately left a message for her that if hung up on, did not appreciate it and please call me back. Almost one hour has passed and no follow up call from her. I put in a Case with the Customer Support team explaining the above and hope to have the charge reversed. I am not eager to give my business to this location and would rather drive 7 miles to Healdsburg location where I only had terrific service when I moved in 2016. This will be a bit more inconvenient for me. For a small location, this is a loss of a future customer who buys a lot of product to pack and move 11,000 lbs of household goods. What bothers me is: 1) being charged for something I verbally declined. If four customers a day are overcharged for coverage, that can be $14600 in revenue. I get it. People probably don’t pay attention or fight. Not me. 2) Horrible to be hung up on. A disappointing finish to what had been a seamless experience up to that point.

They were the worst service I have ever had. One person working on a Saturday, had a reservation six people at 9. She would finish helping the first client, gave me and another customer wrong keys to truck. Didn’t walk the truck with me. I had to help the customer before me, because they backed the trucks in wierd and very hard to get out, she told the elderly I won’t help you. So me and the customer behind helped her backout. We’re the vechike I would have also needed help. It was not acceptable for a business. Feel free to call me 707-206-8687. I will never rent again from that location and I didn’t in the first place I reversed online for another location and got a call saying that I had to go somewhere else.

There is very poor cell service at this location, so it was very difficult to complete the pick-up and drop off on my friends phones. Also, I reserved a dolly which was not provided, and I was charged anyway. I have tried emailing a couple of times and have not had a response at all, which I found to be very unprofessional. Won't be using uhaul again for that reason.

Reservation made online, where equipment was shown at a U-Haul location close to worksite. Only AFTER making online reservation did I find that the equipment was actually located at a U-Haul facility almost 15 miles further. At $0.79/mile equipment usage fee, the rental cost an additional $25. Would have been nice to know this when reserving the rental, not as a surprise after the reservation.

“clean “ and “well maintained “ are two different categories. Equipment is well maintained but I feel if equipment is clean it shows better on the road. I haul a car to participate in various shows and I would appreciate a clean transport when I need one. I doubt if the equipment I rented was ever cleaned since new. Pressure washing is a quick and easy process and it benefits everyone involved- especially U—Haul.
