I reserved in Newmarket, then got sent to Thornhill. Which is 45 mins away! Thornhill is a disgusting hole in the wall, dirty, and smelly. People were nice at least. Then I was told I could return in Newmarket but when I tried I couldn't. Not to mention, in Newmarket there are signs that say wait in your car and an agent will help you with your return but no one comes, so I wasted 15 mins waiting only to have to go in anyway. Overall it was a horrible experience and I would rather buy a new trailer than go through that again.JD K.

Clean trailer and maintain. Filthy inside and out door broken wire hanging under trailer. Had to take because prior commitments. Should at least clean trailer. Looked like puke on back wall. With COVID they should be extra clean not extra dirtyMichael W.

The whole journey from picking up the truck, driving it and moving stuff was very good. The receptionist was kind and courteous. The handover though was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!! Since the location had closed, we were forced to do a key drop off after completing the return details online. I can't tell you how disappointed I'm with your website and Android app. The website asks for us to allow for location details, but doesn't request it. As a result chrome doesn't let it get access to the location!!! The Android app got the location but it just didn't not upload the image we uploaded despite having camera permission. It's also disappointing to see that the app was last updated in 2019 after which numerous customers have complained (visible on Google Play store) but the app has not been fixed. This terrible handover experience has ensured that I never use U-Haul again. Disappointed.Mishma B.

I booked the pick-up online for 8:30am On arriving on time, an employee told me I had to wait until 9am to pick up the van. This could be the fault of the website. The front door had a 'business hours' sign that said they opened at 8am (like the website offered), then there was a piece of printer paper taped to the door saying 'office hours 9am'. Do not allow customers to book pick-up times when the employees at the location tell the same customer that the office is closed!Nicholas S.

REGARDING UHAUL CONTRACT #24118533 TRUCK IS VERY OLD AND EXTREMELY DISGUSTING. TRUCK STALLED MANY TIMES. TRUCK IS VERY DIRTY WITH OIL/GREASE INTERIOR AND FULL OF BACTERIA AND VIRUSES. ON TOP OF THAT NO ONE WOULD COME AND CHEC,K OUT THE TRUCK WITH ME WHEN I PICKED IT UP. I WAS SHOCKED THAT THE UHAUL REPRESENTATIVE REFUSED TO COME TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE WITH ME . I ASKED HER "DON'T YOU WANT TO COME AND VERIFY THE FUEL LEVEL BEFORE I LEAVE WITH THE TRUCK?" SHE DECLINED. ***SHE JUST TOLD TO BRING THE TRUCK BACK WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF FUELWHICH I DEFINITELY DID.*** ***IN MARCH 18, 2021 WHICH WAS THREE DAYS FROM MARCH 15 2021 TO MY UTTER SHOCK I UNBELIEVABLY WAS CHARGED A FUEL FEE OF ABOUT $27.00 + 13% HST *** ***I CALLED THORNHILL LOCATION AT 50 DONCASTER AVENUE AND WAS TOLD THAT SHE COULD NOT CORRECT THIS UNWARRANTED B/S FUEL CASH STEAL/GRAB.*** SHE DID NOT GIVE ME A HARD COPY OF CONTRACT WHEN I PICKED UP THE TRUCK ON MARCH 15, 2021. WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS UNWARRANTED FUEL CHARGE I WAS TOLD THAT SHE EMAILED ME A COPY OF THE CONTRACT JUST AFTER I LEFT ON MARCH 15, 2021. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY EMAIL WITH ANY CONTRACT ANYTIME AT THE TIME OF PICKING UP THE TRUCK WHETHER REAL OR IMAGINARY. I DID RECEIVE AN EMAIL THREE DAYS LATER WITH A FINAL INVOICE ON MARCH 18, 2021 BUT ABSOLUTELY NO EMAIL THAT THE UHAUL REPRESENTATIVE CLAIMED TO HAVE SENT ME UPON ORIGINALLY PICKING UP THE TRUCK. I RESPECTFULLY DEMAND THAT I RECEIVE A CREDIT FOR THE FUEL CHARGE I WAS CHARGED WITH RESPECT TO THIS UNWARRANTED THEFT ATTEMPT. I ALSO EXPECT A FUTURE FREE TRUCK RENTAL TO COMPENSATE ME FOR ALL THIS INCONVENIENCE AND POOR QUALITY OF VEHIC.E AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. The rental reeked of cigarettes and there was some litter and junk inside. A cigarette burn mark on the seat? Steering wheel was grimy. Rental didn't have washer fluid either. They also claimed higher initial fuel on the vehicle. Also, the service was awful. The mobile pickup didn't work (it just said "oops!" and redirect me to the main page??). I had to go to the office and the person at the counter wasn't super friendly, had to cancel the online reservation and make a new one and the person changed the details of my reservation to be 4 hours less than the original... My first rental experience with Uhaul, pretty dang unpleasant.JUN H.
