The person working acted as if he was doing me a favor by allowing me to give him my business. There was a large sign taped on the "welcome" desk that said they aren't required to rent to anyone. That's fine and I get that, but it's tacky to post. But to then to also get told that I need to make sure that I do everything on the app before I show up before he even opens my order? I had done everything possible online before I got there (uploaded ID, checked in, everything). I then showed up an hour early to return my rental (during business hours mind you) and found a locked door with a sign that said to call for service. Sure there were signs where I parked that said that I could check the vehicle in online, but if I show up during business hours and want an in person check in I should get it. I told the individual over the phone that I thought it would be easier to finish up in person since it was during business hours and because this way I would know it was done. He grunted and came to unlock the door and said "let me put it another way, you can check it in on the app and drop the key in the box because otherwise I'll forget and lose the key." So this person's laziness and irresponsibility is my issue?? Large, older man in his 60s, and missing teeth. If he is an employee, I suggest some serious customer service training and performance management. If he is the owner, I suggest he retire or that UHAUL sever ties with this business.
Marco LI got charged $15 for cleaning out the Uhaul. All I did was leave the furniture pads that I had rented in the back.
