I needed a quick solution to closing down the apartment of a friend who passed away recently. The U-Haul storage facility on Burnet Rd. had what was needed for a few months of storage as we go through things to disperse belongings and furniture. The two people on duty when I arrived to get the keys and finis the paperwork were great and I appreciate their help. The deskperson was attentive and helpful. The access card requires two swipes for entry. I received two survey links.

Fixed but didn’t notify. Rat infestation left me with kicking a carcass out into the driveway, where it remained for weeks—still there during move out. No willingness to credit the few days remaining as consolation. An obvious corporate control? Never again.

When I made and paid for the reservation there was no note that I had to arrive 30 minutes before close, it said that the unit would be fully ready when I arrived. I had to get a new unit thru a different company and still have not received a refund.

JATEM C | Overall ExperienceUpon renting, learned the security keypad didn't recognize the unit's door was closed, which caused worry whether the alarm system even worked in the event of a break-in. Staff there then reassured me they would fix and notify me once repaired. Four days later - still no call, so I called to check. The clerk who answered (miryan?) mumbled her name, and said Regan wasn't in yet - and Eric was outside installing a hitch. She was less than interested in even taking down my number to have them call me - instead urging me to "just call back later" and "I'm too busy with other customers." This reflects poorly and fails to instill confidence in U-Haul's customer service ethos. Not a pleasant or reassuring start with this storage operation.
