Other than bugs and spiders making a home in my space, this place was very clean and safe. I never worried about theft or damage. Also well climate controlled. Reasonably priced compared to others in the area.?

MARK S | First ImpressionsThree times in about a month we were called about potential water damage in our unit. Once for a burst pipe and twice for a roof leak. The first time we were lucky and had basically no damage but still spent 3 Saturdays going through our stuff. The second time they had us move some of our stuff to a second unit and put a tarp over the rest of it. The third time we lost items and had to move all of our stuff to a third unit. We weren't offered anything for this inconvenience instead were constantly reminded we didn't pay insurance. At the end we were reimbursed 1 month payment. I paid in total over 3000$ for my items to be safe and kept and the service was not provided. The roof was dripping rust water and the things that weren't directly damaged had to be washed for contamination with the brown liquid dripping into our unit. I understand that the person I dealt with at the counter did all in their power but I was baffled that if uhauls building is constantly failing I have to pay their insurance if my stuff gets ruined. They offered us movers but they werent available until 3 days from then, and our sttorage unit was raining and had a tarp over it. We moved into our house a week after transferring our entire storage unit accross the building by ourselves. That will be the last time I ever use uhaul at this point, after using them every time I ever moved. It was a shame the way it was handled by management and even the district management never reached back out to us after calling with our concerns. I will say the maintenance staff was always helpful and were understanding of our frustrations, much better customer service than the customer service department. Since I was here so many times searching through my belongings for damage I met all of them and have only good things to say about them.

Shane L | First ImpressionsWhile I was moving into my storage unit, I was harassed by someone who didn’t even have a unit on the property. She was with someone who did. The incident occurred while my mother, friend and I were moving my stuff inside the building. We had pulled our cars in to make the move easier. While we were doing that, a young woman came up to the secured door asking for help to come in. I had asked her “Do you have a code? I only know how to get in with a code.” She flashed me a card and stated that that was the only thing she had. I ultimately did not let her in. Coming from a security and law enforcement background, but also with just moving into the property, I did not want to just let someone into a secured facility, since I did not know what the repercussions would be. The young woman somehow gained access to the facility and located me and started to yell and be aggressive towards my party and I. We clearly stated that we were just following the rules and that there was no need to be aggressive in any way. A man (who we later believed who the woman was with) grabbed her from behind and essentially dragged her away from us. A few moments later, the same woman came running down the hall towards me and grabbed my hair, gave me a fat lip and scratched my face. To my understanding I thought she was coming to have a calm conversation with me but I was obviously mistaken. It took the two people in my party and the man she was in to get off of me. I was evaluated by an ambulance and thankfully was ok. However, the woman left and the male half did not give her up. During about 90% of my rental time at this location, I came with someone because I did not feel safe. I should not fear coming to a secured facility to get to my belongings. I am only leaving this comment because only the first half of this incident was on camera and would only suggest you get more cameras in the facilities for everyone’s safety, especially since that woman didn’t even have a unit.
